For the first time this year, the ETL is introducing the Title of Princeps Senioris. We want to set the Titans in a league of heir own, much like they are from an in-Universe perspective! And, much mile the Master Artificer, the title to be decided by the B&C community at large much like last year. The list above contains the names of the ETL VII participants that obtained the title of the Artificer in alphabetical order, and is the group from which the Master Artificer will emerge! Vote which one you prefer, and to help you decide, I have included below, pictures with examples of the Princeps' work with pictures made and approved by them. A few pointers" Any member of the B&C is welcome to vote - you don't have to have participated in the ETL to do so. This is open to all. Vote on the basis of the quality work done (personal criteria obviously) - not on the basis of the in-Universe faction you prefer or the size of the Titan - a Senioris does not always occupy the larges machine ( You do not have to justify your vow. If you want to leave comments however, feel free to do so. You may vote more than one option! You don't have to choose only one - unless of course you like only one option over and above everyone else. This topic will remain open until Sunday, September 15th, where the rank of the Princeps Senioris will be awarded to one of the above Princeps! 1. Altis: Digital society! 2. Right folks, it's that time of year again: the ETL is upon us. This is what we've been building towards and this year, it's a unique title defense campaign! What is the ETL? The acronym for E Tenebrae Lux, the ETL originated as a painting challenge put forth by the Dark Angels sub-forum. This has since blossomed into a full on, inter-forum painting competition whereby an individual vows a legal unit (or units) for a particular faction and has to paint them to completion (in the owners eyes) within a three month time frame. The faction with the most points painted is crowned the winner earning eternal glory (special signatures, etc) and a year's worth of bragging rights. ETL I can be found here ETL II can be found here ETL III can be found here ETL IV can be found here ETL V can be found here ETL VI can be found here Our Heritage As you all know, Blood Angels and their Successors study the arts. Our extended lifespan allows us to pursue and master the finer things in life and it is often remarked how exquisite the works of our artisans are. Certainly our preponderance for Artificer Armour, master-crafted weaponry, tapestries and so on show this off and back in the real world, some of the best painted models on the B&C are Blood Angels. In the previous painting challenge, the Librarium challenge (which is currently on permanent hiatus) our faction had a long and distinguished roll of honour whereby we won the event year after year. However, for the first three events this hadn't transferred into the ETL: In ETL I we finished fifth (out of seven participants). In ETL II we finished fifth (out of eight participants). In ETL III we finished seventh (out of eight participants). That said, we threw the form book out of the window for ETL IV: We finished fourth (out of seven participants) and within sight of second place Our participant level (83) was at a record high Our number of vows (130) was at a record high Completed points (41,285) was at a record high Final score (26,197) was at a record high ... and this set us up nicely for ETL V

+++AGE OF DARKNESS – TRAITOR OUTPOST+++ Welcome to the Age of Darkness – Traitors (AoD-T) Outpost. AoD-T belongs to the “Age of Darkness” Faction (AoD). Here is the home for those Horus Heresy fans of a Loyalist inclination. HERE IS WHERE YOU MUST POST YOUR VOWS Here you must also post your “before” and “after” pics of your vows as well as any WIP you may want to share. You may also use this thread to discuss the progress of the event with your fellow participants, exchange ideas, offer and receive modelling/painting advice and generally have some ETL–related fun! You can vow any Units from all official Black and Red books – provided the points are taken from the latest version. IMPORTANT NOTE: THE COLOURS OR LOYALTY AND TREACHERY The only limitation is that participants of the AoD-T Outpost cannot choose units explicitly labelled “Loyalist”. Other than that, there is no restriction. You can paint whatever Legion or other HH sub-faction you like provided you respect the condition above. IMPORTANT NOTE: TITANS ARE TITANS It is a fact that the AoD Faction will suffer from a discount in points vs. 40k for similar units. This is not viewed as an overwhelming handicap in general, but we believe it is especially unfair for Titans. As such, for Titans and Titans only, the AoD faction will be using the 40k points, i.e. Warhound: 2,000pts Reaver: 4,000pts Warbringer Nemesis: 5,000pts Warlord: 6,000pts IMPORTANT NOTE: ALWAYS USE THE LATEST PUBLICATION TO SELECT AND PRICE YOUR UNITS This means that if there is an update of any Red book or a new Black book that revises pre-existing units during the life of the event, then all vows made AFTER the release of the updated book must be “priced” according to the newest book. Also, any official PDF releases relevant to Horus Heresy are also admissible (even if experimental) until an official publication that contains them is released.
