A lot of his body language backs up his lines and gives his acting so much more depth, and reckon you'd lose that if he was just a face on a digital body. People on this thread have suggested some great older actors like Sean Connery, but all the depictions of the Emperor show his as a huge, perfect, godlike man in his prime, so and older dude would be better in a cgi or motion capture film. Konrad Kurze: Ive heard a lot of people liken him to Batman, and i can certainly see why, but he is based mostly on Colonel Walter E. Kurtz from Apocalypse now, played by Marlon Brando. His name is just the name Kurtz switched around a little and Konrad, from Joseph Konrad, the author of the story Heart of Darkness on which Apocalypse Now is based. And his brutally style of war also resembles Kurtz As Apocalypse Now is probably my favorite movie, i would like to see any actor playing Konrad Kurze draw from that film a little bit. As for actors, i think anyone whos seen No Country for Old Men would agree that Javier Bardem can definately be creepy enough for the role, though he'd need makeup to be pale enough for Kurze Fulgrim: Joaquin Phoenix would be alright i guess. Magnus: I think James Earl Jones would have the perfect voice to do Magnus. He seems good at sounding powerful and wise.
