Headologist
Currently working on converting a Captain and an Attack Bike to a "Chariot" for my DIY Marine Chapter, the Spears of Mawdryn, based on Late Roman/Arthurian elements wih dashes of bits borrowed from Iron Age Celts/Gauls. And mostly Welsh names. These are both very rough at the moment (they really are WIPs). There's more photos and info on my blog: Chariot and Captain Please feel free to ask any questions at all :) Piccies below.... Kierdale
Nice work! Very interesting so far. I'm interested to see how they turn out, particularly the chariot! Armyghy
Fantastic idea for the chariot. Have you considered using Lances from the Empire or Bretonnian knights? Headologist
Thank you. Theat's a great idea Armyghy, but I'm trying to keep the 5th/6th century look reasonably accurate (well, 1st centuries BC/AD for the chariots and some of the shield desings) and those lances aren't quite right unfortunately. I may use the top section of the Bretonnian ones for my "Honour Guard" spears though :) They would also be great for a friend's medieval themed force so so I'll pass the suggestion on. I'm probably going to use the Chaos Marauder spears as the basis for the spear-armed charioteer. I'm currently using some Bretonnian bits on my Scouts and "Dywrydd" (Druid) Apothecary-Chaplain.... I'll be posting those soon :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/250289-arthurian-celtic-space-marine-chariot-and-captain/#findComment-3035453 Share on other sites
