I'd go for A, D is nice but to close to the White Scars' heraldry for comfort IMHO.

I'd go for A, with the shoulder pads of D.  The Asymmetry is quite nice.

I like A, but D's set up looks best.

 

So I would use A's colors, but swap it around so that the white areas match D.

I vote A. F is a close second.

A is the best one, its the most similar to your legion's armour scheme, a lot of people like the asymmetric pattern from D so maybe incorporate it into A, say one black pauldron, the other brass/gold.

 

D looks good as well, but as has been mentioned, it is quite close to how the White Scars look.

 

The rest seem to deviate quite far from the legion's colours, so i guess it depends on the extent of your intention for Icarion to stand apart from his sons (like Horus and Angron). 

 

Either way, can't wait to see how this will turn out!

I'm actually a really big fan of 'C', but the shoulders seem a little bland, so maybe have the shoulders of 'A' instead?

Like a few others have said F with A's shoulder pads. A and D remind me of White Scars too much.

A couple of things we learned from your input and from 1st Expedition and his Deviant Art Page.

 

1.) We definitely want to avoid a scheme that is too strongly related to the White Scars.

2.) the scheme we choose doesn't necessarily have to be tied to closely to the general Legion Color Scheme.

3.)That the majority of people across the interwebs like B&E from the first Color Test.

4.) we Decided to try out a Regal Sea green as it was used in one of my favorite miniatures of the Emperor.
