The use of the survivors as a mixed unit feel is inspired and perfectly in keeping with the Chapter I think. I'm sorely tempted to try this with my new Crimson Sabres 4th Company renegades as they only have 40 marines left or there abouts too. Excellent stuff, you push some levels up with this models in your painting , Veteran Doña is my favourite ,really like the curved combat blade. I felt like with all the hate they would harbour against the nids they would be fashioning weapons more 'evil' weapons Nice, amazing yellow you have got there. I thank being able to paint imperial fists for the yellow lol You know how much I love these guys buddy. Really liking the progress on the Dev marine. Ah man don't be so hard on your own work, if anything I'm not partially happy with Doñas face, but this is what the hobby's all about....learning. And I just thin my paint accordingly to be honest, I just paint the layers on thinly. Yep I was in the boat in my head but decided to keep away from starting a new project completely, then I got my teeth into these and my IF's, I just think for me I'm a little burnt out with my crimson fists....I need to paint and get the feel of another chapter (Xenos hunters though) to get my teeth back to wanting the crimson fists again, I've just lost the omph for my CF's. Thanks man, appreciate the comment, I was wondering how long it'll take you to notice that knife lol It's just the basic plastic knife from the older tac sprue and just shaved on the back into a curve via my hobby blade. Your doing a sterling job making them look beaten up and ragged but still maintaining a solid image of defiance. I think the Scythes are one of the most interesting chapters both in terms of fluff and Chapter colours. Cant wait to see a full squad of these brother.
