I got the metal Sternguard box nearly two years ago shortly after picking up the hobby, and always loved this particular model. So having him painted now is nice indeed. Because that would mean instant win for the Imperial factions which could discourage members from taking part. Also it would likely destroy the inter forum banter which always seems to happen with more balanced competitions. The other part of that is forums like the Horus Heresy (well done you lot by the way. I'm sure you lot were giving out chocolate to tempt people to 30k with those models you were painting) would have an even bigger gap between them and the points the Imperial faction would have totalled. If people aren't tempted by what the Horus Heresy forums are putting out on a consistent basis, they may need to take a look at themselves!! More importantly - for those concerned, look back through the last couple of years and the numbers posted. The ETL grows year on year, and inevitably, flows with Codex releases. It was a blast to see everyone's work, and definitely helped me stay focused and crank out some core minis for my own force!
