Tried to get some better pics.of the dreadnought tonight.

Safir had to give credit to the salamanders the recon units that were operating in his sector were second to none, he would never say it out loud but he truly believed they could have given their own Mor Deythun a hard time if any had made it off Isstvan with their units. They carried an eclectic selection of weapons, and more explosives than he had seen since their initial drop into the hell hole of Isstvan.

Both. the camo first appeared in RT back in the 80s, was then later retconned into being used in the badaab war, then retconned again into being used Pre heresy by the salamanders during the last battle of the unification wars on Terra.

Been a while since I posted an update (so I'm doing a massive one ) thanks for your patience.

 

Commanding the salamanders detachment is a strange individual, who stands out amongst his compatriots. Know colloquially as "The Albino" his real name has been lost to the history slates. What is know is his combat record which reaches from the final days of unification leading recon teams placing locators for the assault drills for the assault on the tempest galleries, assignments with the 5th and 13th legions, secunded to imperial army campaigns during the the purge of Gila. 

He claims to have never returned to nocturn and to have only ever even seen his primarch during the muster at istvaan.
