So Mother-In-Law is still in town for a little longer but will be moving out here Mid January, as her and her husband's place will be finished 1st of the year and only 90 second drive away from My wife, kids, and me. :thumbsup:

 

With her here, helping with our newborn (1 month old today) adopted Daughter and the boys, I took full advantage of building some models....or more of working on models.

They are not attached to bases but will be pinned to them for durability.

Brother-Captain- I was gonna give him a Psycannon but the pose makes a little off, so he will get a stormbolter Have to fill some gaps and sculpt part of his cloak and flex joint armor.

Brotherhood Librarian - Still needs his storm bolter, some gaping filling and maybe some kind of flames or lightning from his hand

Brotherhood Chaplain- Needs his stormbolter and more purity seals. 

 

Plus Started working on another HQ model...

Venerable Dreadnought- Lascannon, Powerfist and Incinerator, Have not Started legs as I will be reposing it to be more active pose.

These guys are looking amazing. Great work so far.

 

Are you also upscaling the Dread or leaving him at the same size as regular Venerable Dreadnoughts?

Agreed, they look great! Excellent use of bits from the regular SM kits (though this army must be costing a fortune per mini! :tongue:)

 

Are the Tortuga GK TDA bodies scaled to match the newer TDA? Do you get arms/weapons/etc as part of the set, or are you taking those from the original GK kits?

they are chaos rocks and skulls

Bases are going to be a desert chaos feel.

Base is a Redemptor Dread so he will be upscaled as he should be... Looking at you GW!

I they are very close in scale to the new TDA armor.

I am using the Original GK Plastics, I bought the New Combat Patrol and Santic Conclave Battle Force for this project along with the Chaplain for Crux Terminatus and a Chief Librarian Tigirius for parts.  Funny Thing is I still have a full Terminator Chaplain to use.

I don't.... I get a few hours here and there. But I didn't sleep much before married life....old man bladder and all that fun.

 

I try to balance family life, work, and hobby life, but hobby life takes a back seat sometimes. Occasionally I will stay up late to work on models in my hobby area with my orange cat or the other one of the cats as company (that's more of spring time thing when it is not cold outside and I can leave the balcony door open.) but usually I will take a break from family to work on models. Or If it is an easy thing, Like clipping and cleaning models I can do that and watch kids. Painting I have to do in my office due to lighting and paint racks.
