I have started this project multiple times in the past.  Collecting Genestealers, putting together terminators and more.  But usually I would complicate the idea so much that it would get to be to much for me, and time or attention span would not be up to the task.

This time I decided on a couple of quick rules.  

• Keep the list as simple as possible
  • I would get lost in magnatizing the marines, or hand carving/building the Space Hulk terrain, and it would just take too long.  Other times it would be beyond my skills.
• Use the materials that I have as much as possible.

When I started the last attempt, I got lost in building the Terminators, magnetizing them so you could have 10 Terminators and switch out the weapons as you wanted.  Back then the bitz market was blasting and I had just found the Bolter and Chainsword, and started the https://emperorschildren.net.

  I wanted to make them look like loyalist Emperor's Children terminators, so MK III head were the decision and magnitized arms.   The Terminators each had a Inquisition shoulder pad, and the group was going to be led by an Inquisitor in terminator armor.

Back then many of the arm options were metalic so it didn't look good.

So lots and lots of bits were ordered and collected.

But there was too much real work, and the task never got finished!

For Genestealers, I collected a lot of Genestealers.

I had a bunch of Patriarch from years and years ago, and Ebay gave up many more to me.  But my pride and joy was this guy.

I had lost his seat years ago, but I had kept this guy!   A great model I had gotten and painted by a friend back in College.  

So back into my storage I went to see what I had.

And this is what I had from years ago:

I have more, but I used some a couple of years ago to when I was getting into Kill Team.  So you can see many were primed and started painting, but I never finished.   Trying to paint the sam way as the Patriarch.

One of the best models is the Inquisitor scale Genestealer!

Oh and I have a lot of the genestealer familiars!  Like lots.  So will be using them where I can.

The rules I set for myself:

• Try airbrushing.  
  • I found that the can primer was just to smelly expensive, so an air brush to help me get the base colors down and go faster.  And I always wanted to use one.
• I don't like the marines and genestealers in the Space Hulk box.
  • So these will be 40k miniatures.  We can hope that 11th will allow all terminator marine groups and perhaps a genestealer army!
• Keep it to a minimum on the bits having to be ordered.  
  • Trying not to break the bank like I normally do when building an army.  So use what I have, or base kits.
  • Because of the difference in size for the terminators, I am going with new terminators vs the older ones.  
  • Use the genestealers I already have.
• 3d print
  • I have a creality K2 that I bought and I wanted to use it to for the space hulk terrain.  
    • When I started this, I had a problem with the printer so I have to fix that.
    • Going to use the Kill Team Boarding Party terrain as a back up.  There are STLs that work with the boarding party terrain that I can print once the printer is up and running
