- Throne of Skulls:  Once Warhammer World all finish with the redevelopment, I want to get to a Throne of Skulls event as soon as possible.  Also possible looking that other event that Warhammer World like masterclass & possible Kill team event.  See what happen.  As always, buying as much Forge World while there

- D.W.A.R.F Fire Storm & Winter War.

 

If ELG run a few single day event I'd like to go to them.  It been a few years since I've been to the ELG wargaming club for the event.  Just not possible for me to go to the two day Counter Attack event

Paint pots where just there to help hold the model in place.  Tomorrow just get green stuff added to give the Obliterator virus look, useing this for the theme of the unit & to help remind me of "it will not die" rule that the Mayhem formation get.

I might ask my oppent for next week game if there ok to go from 1500pts to 1850pts just so I can try & included the formation to try out other wise it will be a while as following week I'm going to be adding my Knight as a oppent want to see what there like in game.

I was that my local Games Workshop store yesterday & talk about conversion idea.  Got the box set & got a lot of left over part from the 3x Helbrute kits to use.  Really looking forward to the conversion.

Right now I'm trying to get the frame of the model made right now.  Then by the end of the week get all the conversion work.

I've still to add trophies, but they will be done later.  Ether I will be useing a Nid trophie if my friend rememeber to bring bitz for conversion I need.  Or I will use the FW World Eater helmet

Hoping one of my friends will be able to pick up the model from the Horus Heresy weekender.  If not, then I will have to wait until Throne of Skulls once Warhammer World finish there updates or Warhammer Fest.  Ether way I think he look cool.
Not sure what unit he will led in the future.  I am looking forward to seen what preview will be shown that the Heresy weekender, for me it mainly wanting to see any Iron Warriors conversion kits, Siege Terminators & my Primarch :D

The dreads are looking good. Wasnt sure on the mark IV helm at first, looks a bit better with the guard. Could a tartaros helm maybe work a bit better. Its like a mark IV helm but a little bigger.

 

I agree on the LE model, will look craking in your army. Has me thinking about revisiting to the Iron Warriors myself...

I've use the last of the Night Lord Terror squad helmet.  Just for the skull mask & that way like the yellow & black strip help break up the model painting wise :D  Since use those part on my Biker unit, I do want to try use them along with the T face berserker, Red Scorpion Honour Guard & MkIII.

 

I'll be looking forward to & dreading the 7th/8th Feb with the Horus Heresy weekender for any future kits/preview to use for future conversion.

I'm looking forward to useing the Dreadnought in next week game.  Just think it will be pretty cool with them being part of a strike force led by Lord Narach & Terminators bodyguard, going for the heart of my oppent army. 
 

After this.  I will be focuse on getting the third knight converted up so it ready for painting soon.  After useing the Autocannon part to rep the Heavy Stubber weapon, I'm thinking of making those changies to my other knights as well as it look cooler in my view.  Also got the start of my Rapier Weapons Battery unit, want to try get the first model ready for painting next week.

Then it just to wait for next week with the Horus Heresy weekender to see what happing & any cool future models for conversion

With the base - I've added a few of the Eldar ruin from the Farseer single spure model.  I though be cool to add some of this to show that the world, my Iron Warriors are battle one.  Try show that it was once Eldar, then nothing, then Imperial dueing the Great Crusade up to now.  It also to tie in a bit with my friend Eldar army, as he recently been getting base sorted taken idea from my own with his own take.  Useing foam board for a bit more of a city ruin look.

I've shown the Eldar army a while back when I was trying work out idea for my 5th Grand Company Banner for my object marker for Emperor Will.

 

Overall for this unit.  I want them to be siege like & useing the Ironclad armour plate to help this.  Also wanted them to have sort of Obliterator virus (It will not die) & Machine.

I'm looking forward to useing them in there first game.  Just think it pretty cool how a strike force with Lord Narach, Sorcerer (still sort name out) & Terminator bodyguard would be supported by a Mayhem pack during siege or trench warfare.

Next

 

Rapier Weapons Battery unit.  I saw on one of the facebook group, where a memeber use the FW Thudd Gun for there Heresy era Iron Warriors force & it look really cool.
I've been looking for a model to use for Rapier weapon since Armour 13 was release last year.  Seen the great Heresy era IW conversion on facebook, it look cool & I though I try it but try make it Chaos era.

 

The FW Rapier model does look cool, but did not click for me.  The other though was the Thunderfire Cannon from the Space Marine range........but after building two last year........ Not one of my favrout models to build.......

I'm going to cut out part of the oval base so the 25mm base can fit into slot.  Just help the look & so model are on level with the battery.

Those dreads look awesome! That is one unit I would loathe to fight against on the battlefield.

 

The thudd gun also looks very cool! I have to say it looks more fitting in the hands of an Iron Warrior and compliments their siege background. Why have a thunderfire cannon or rapier on mobility scooter treads when I can lug my artillery piece around?

As said there with the Thudd gun I saw on facebook a memeber was useing the weapon for there Heresy era Iron Warriors.  It look cool, they done really great work on the model & tie in really well with the IW theme.

Thanks - I'll be aim to add more units to my Space Wolves this year.  I've just give them there first game in years just to use the new codex.  Like my Iron Warriors, the Wolves will be a on going army.  I'd like to try Champion of Fenris & create a Wolf Guard Biker force.

There still a LOT more to get added to this model.  I'm going to not use the dragon teeth, instead there going to be kept for my Rapier Weapons Battery models once I get them order.

I've got a spare Dreadnought, left over from conversion for my Space Wolves that I'll add to the base.  I'm also possible getting some of the Eldar ruin part from the new plastic Harlquien from a friend once there release on Saturday.  As said this is to tie in with another friend Eldar force.

 

There also a few trophies I will be adding to this.  One of them Nids, base on the Nids seen on other trophies though out my Iron Warriors force & that I had a great game against before Rapid Fire as we where test out our armies & getting use to the mission.

Just there Nids army is on going & recently order a lot of the bigger nids models from Forge World.  So though be cool to tie this Knight in & try get some battle damage, try tie it in as a old battle against this Hive Fleet.  It'll also tie in why his face mask is all smash in after taken on one of the Nid monster in combat.

But those trophies will be added on due to money for the hobby being use for other stuff right now.  Also right now I want to paint this Knight as soon as possible as they are cool models :D

I also want to add somthing to the Battle Cannon to make it a bit more fearful.  I should have a few spare from the Leman Russ kit or there the Maulerfiend, just left over part for the Forge Fiend.
Then it just one more model to add to this so I can run a 1500pts force of them in games :D

 

I also replace the stubber weapon with the RW assault cannon after building the third Knight.  Just though it look cooler, more fearful or dreaded?

Right now I think my list is

- Rapier Weapons Battery:  Get this unit finish during this month

- Add another Knight in the future for a stand alone force & ally

- Berzerker (?).  Still unsure how I want these to look beside sort of IW version of the Death Company type thing.

- Chosen:  Was hoping to see some IW upgread pack from Forge World from the Horus Heresy weekender.....see what tomorrow bring.

- Still got a 5th Heldrake I've been mean to build & paint.  I'm take part in a hobby challenge Crusade of Iron, that will be my fast attack chose/part for this challenge, with the way it all working out.

There still a lot to get painted on this knight.  I'll ether get this done during the weekend, just depend if a game goes forward or not.  If not then I will be spend some time next week getting the knight finish.
Also going to get the first Chaos Knight I converted last year with the warshrine, when the model was release & see if I can borrow a few Knight models from a friend so I can use this as a stand alone army for a game next week vs my friend Eldar w/3 Writhknight army or possible four if the Harlquine allow it in there ally chose?

 

I'll also be getting a Forge World order place soon for more Thudd guns toward the new unit, along with a few other things to convert the crew memeber.  Also pick up a box of Chaos Marines this weekend.
