New Mechanicus models.  Just spend a bit of time before Game of Thrones building these.  There really cool model & I am temp to try use part from the kit to convert a new Havoc unit.

I will hopeful get the base sorted ether Friday or during the weekend, again just time permitting.

You have the old Dreadnought close combat hammer? I've been looking for that bit for years but it's pretty rare and hard to get hold of. Use it well, I'm quite envious! :D

Kythnos - I think that came with the orignaly Dreadnought I bought back in 2001 as one of the two arm's you could pick.  Just I've never had the claw arm which came with the other two I bought over a week ago.  But when I use my orignaly classic metal Chaos Dreadnought he was arm the way you seem him today as back then - like now there was a chose of different wargear he could take in the 3rd ed codex Chaos Marines.  I also have a Heavy Bolter arm kicking about as well I think I mail order that one & a Plasma Cannon?

 

Brotherjim - Combi Plasma from the current Space Marine tactical squad.  Wanted the Champion - when they deep strike he fire while the rest are looking for other targets.  I'll get more photos for the next update :D  He currently just been undercoated

 

Also call the Champion Dragos, get his second name & unit name (something I need to do a lot for my army) to help add theme & start there history.

Oh right thankyou that was bohering me. I love the look of the plasma on top with the curved bolter ammo clip. Glad I don't have to make one. Its a vey unique piece and Dragos looks the part with it.

Word Bearer Trophie going to rep my game vs Matt from Throne of Skulls Oct 2012.  Red Scorpain Honour guard is base on my friend army from the 7000pt game over just last year before he move to USA.  Nids base on my friend Nids that went to Rapid Fire event.

Update

 

First up - Just bought another Knight.  I want to try make this into my warlord when I use them as a stand alone army.  Only thing is I am unsure how I want to convert this knight.  Right now I have the Ultramarine chapter upgrade spure on advance order - trophie.  Possible add Dark Angel or try add a Space Wolf.

Overall theme I want is sort of siege.  In Storm of Iron it say about Legio Mortis in the finial battle carry the Grand Company to battle.  But also need to bare in mind cost, but other three Knight model just need brass etching & one box set to convert the models.

Mechanicus codex to work out a 1850pts list for my Dark Mechanicus army.  Just get them ready for a few games later this year & then go on to add on more units.

While White Dwarf - Look like I'll have a great supply of trophies for my army   Also this has been push me to finial get my Space Wolves updated.  Started a army log last year with the box set & codex in hope it would get me adding more models.  But it was put on pause......... possible a good thing due to seen the new Assault Marine models & chapter upgrade spure, the Wolves one alone a very big help to my army

Also a little bit of painting done on my second unit of Ranger for my Dark Mechanicus force.  As it stand I have 2x 10 Ranger units.  I have 5 Vanguard, with 5 still on spure.  I have the taller walker model unsure if it will be the combat or shooty version (going for the Formation).  Then I have the new track models.
As seen there I've pick up the codex today & hopeful get a 1850p force writen up, possible tomorrow.

Also seem I forgotten to take a photo of the finish Plasma Cannon arm Dreadnought when take the above photos.  I think I went back to paint somthing on the model & forgotten until upload everything there.  So get that done for the next update.  But as it stand, the Plasma Cannon arm Dreadnought complete.  Just the Twin Linked Lascannon arm model I now need to paint.  So hopeful get a spare hour on Monday before Game of Thrones.

So right now ETL stuff getting there.  One my friends has just started a Ork army & have a few part I use to convert my models.  So that going to help toward the Power Armour Lord.  I just need to mail order one thing, so hopeful get that done next week. 

Apart from that, seem like there so much I need to try get right now:

- Lord/part get the conversion done

- My Dark Mechanicus army

- Forge World Chaos Knight when that release.

- Trying get the Space Wolves up to date with all the updated Space Marine kits.  Most like be near the end of the year & during Christmas holidays along with Call of Chaos models.

 

So I'm going to be painting the new track models.  Hoping to get there base all done tomorrow & get the models undercaoted on Monday.  Also going to get the last few memeber (apart from one Ranger, waiting get a Plasma weapon) built for my second unit of Ranger for Dark Mechanicus army :D

Also just got the new Mechanicus unit built up.  I done a little conversion adding extra servo arm's to the gun area & use the camera from the other unit/part from them.  Then got this lot undercaoted & spray with Leadbelcher spray earily today.  Really looking forward to painting this unit.
Like wise I've made my 1850pts list a hour ago, no idea what it like but this is a brand new army & somthing diffrent vs my Iron Warriors, Raven Wing or Space Wolves & exspect to be learning a lot as well as always adding cool new models & units.

Just started building my Knight who will be Warlord.  I have the idea, going to be borrow a few models from friends just to see if they idea work before going out & buy the parts.  Right now the conversion image I have in my head looking cool.

This may possible be my 2nd or 3rd vow once the above complete.
There also the Dark Angels Chaplain that was leak on the forum a few days ago.  Just I said before I use to have a Fallen Angel Battle Brother in my IW force back when I started them 2001-2002 for Conflict Scotland.  I like the whole idea of Cypher who'd just been release back then & also the bloodquest comic show a Fallen Angel who led a Chaos Warband.
I've been trying think of a way of bring this person back into my army.  That model really help that & is perfect for the conversion.

 

So see what happen, maybe making the Fallen - Lord for ETL, would give me a little more time converting wise for the Knight?

- Mechanicus books:  I've really like the painting guide for the Space Wolves & Blood Angels & just good to have around for referance.  Also lot of cool background on the armies displayed in the book which is really great as well.

 

- White Dward 71, always like pick up WD/read during the weekend.  I'm looking forward to trying convert up some of the new Devastators, use some parts for a new Havoc unit :D

 

- Space Marines assault & tactical:  These are for my Space Wolves, I've been mean to get back to this army & update them since the codex was release last year.  With the Mechanicus range sold out that my local store, I though I get them & finial make a bit more progress, you can find the army log here

- Upgrade spure:  Wolves are going to be use for my army.  Ultramarines are trophies for +project Grond**+ (**the Wolf from Lord of the Rings return of the king, it to do with the Knight)

Also spent a bit of today getting bit more paint on the Mechanicus Breacher.  Photos where taken pretty quickly before I had to go & pick up curry take away for dinner.  I'll try get better photos when there finish.  Since then they've been varnish & Games Workshop water effect added to the base.

I'm hoping to add weather powder tomorrow.  There still a lot to get done before this unit finish, hopeful spend next week getting them finish along with the second unit of Ragner.

I'm also going to make the rest of my Vanguard unit tomorrow.  Friends have given me a lot of the left over servo arm from these kits & I'll get the last few Vanguard (not included once that need Plasma) build along with the last few Ranger for the second unit, that will give me models to paint next week.  I also have the Walker to build, so might get that done tomorrow & paint it during the weekend when time permits.

 

I'm enjoy collecting the Mechanicus, there really great model & hopeful get some games sooner than later.  Hopeful get the Techpriest model next week to paint along with my new IW Lord (for ETL).

- Just got my Lord: ETL, just place a order today for the last part & he will get converted/built next weekend.

- Mechanicus is on going, as said want to get a 1850pts force just to get some games.  In the end I want to try get that least one of each unit just give me chose for both stand alone games with Mechanicus or allies for the Iron Warriors.

 

- Knight.  I'm really looking forward to this conversion.  Might start this next weekend.  But have to wait a little while to see more on this.

Also pick up the new Devastators.  I was going try get Mechanicus but a lot of the stock never arrive today & there selling out with a few people starting armies.  The Devastators models are just really cool.  So I'm going to convert them as Havocs & they will be part my ETL vow 2 now.  Not sure what wargear give them be honsty.  Unit going to be done more for fun than anything else.  I already have 2x Autocannon units & a Launcher unit.

Ether go all heavy bolter, trade some the weapons with friends or two & two type thing? 

Then the clamp pack for the Lord conversion to finish my ETL vow :D  While the Bits are toward the Knight conversion - Trophies.

Update time

 

A while back I pick up a fourth Knight model.  One of the things I wanted to do for this conversion was to help add a siege theme to the Knight model & also to try make this my own.  It was suggested about adding weapons to the hull armour & right away though of hellcannons.  The right arm going to be replease with the ball & chain from the Skaven Screaming bell kit to further add to that siege theme.

 

So right now the Knight still very WIP.  Hope to add green stuff tomorrow try add a Obliterator virus to cover up some gaps.  Biohazard had a space part from the Zombie dragon kit which is going to be very helpful & added to the third Hellcannon part.

So I'm hoping to get a lot work done tomorrow.  Aim to try & paint the model this week.  I'm also waiting for the Iron Warriors transfer to be release from Forge World - shown during the Warhammer World open day.  This just mean I need to wait a little while before the Knight is fully finish & mean waiting to add weather powder once the transfer are added.

I'm also going to pick up the brand new Dark Angels Chaplain next weekend.  I said before I use to have a Fallen Angel in my Grand Company back in 2001-2002.  One of the aims when starting this version of my Iron Warriors back in 2011 was to bring back models like Sorcerer Krull, Lord Narach, the Berzerker & the classic metal Dreadnought I've had since starting the IW in 2001.  There a big part of my army history & now time have them all there.

Thanks Biohazard, you've really help out & it going to look cool.  Just though be cool adding those Zombie Dragon skulls, it show how the Legion & Warbands still battle monster & Daemons with in the warp, it not just the armies we see codex wise, there a lot out there.  Also tie in with my Vindicator tank I converted.

This help a lot & allow me to get the knight undercaoted & get a bit painting.  During the day just added the shade & for the past hour & a half chose to add some basecoat.  Then tomorrow I'm going to be painting the Knight, also need to pick up a new Mephiston Red paint, also need to get Nuln Oil.  I use a brand new pot of Nuln oil only to have 35% of it left

I might also get the Dark Angels Chaplain advance order, as said to convert up a Fallen Angel Battle Brother who use to be a big part of my Iron Warriors army in 2001-2002, as said before inspired by Cypher & the Fallen Angel who led a Chaos Warband in Bloodquest comic:

I'll also be hoping to pick up some Mechanicus models during this week as well.  I want to push forward & get a army that 1850pts.  I've got a game against them during this week which will allow me to see what there like & just get some idea.  Overall aim to try get that least one of each unit, right now it just getting 1850pts force get some games :D

Yes just right now wanting to get the Knight all painted.  There where a few things I though about adding but it did not look right or would sort of kill the model when I've to add in the clump foliage & transfer.

So I'm keep the model as it is + clump foliage & transfer, just want to get the model painted now & ready for gaming :D

 

Should have a update on Saturday when a bit more paint on the model.

Quick update on the Knight.

Since this photo was taken a little bit more been done like the yellow & black stripe.  I'm hoping to get a lot more painting done to the Knight during tomorrow.  Need to weather the yellow & black strip, get the Dragon skulls painted & paint the bronze trims around the armour plate as well as glow effect on the helmet

I've enjoy painting the knight & really looking forward to get ore time to paint tomorrow.

Also I'll be pick up the new Dark Angels Chaplain this weekend.  As said this is to bring back a Fallen Angel Battle Brother who was part my army when I started the IW back in 2001.  Also he will be take part in a facebook painting challenge, just for fun & also for the ETL.

More work on the Knight.  He almost there.  I'm hope to try get Clump Foliage some point soon over the next few weeks.  I'll also need to try pick up a new can of matt varnish from my local Games Workshop store.  Want to try get him ready for varnish this weekend.  Then as said once I get the transfer from FW I can start finish all detail like blood for the blood god & adding weather powder to the Knight.

I've also got my Havoc unit to get finish for ETL.  Also need to get back on the Dark Mechanicus army.  It been put on a pause due to the kits always selling out that my local store as there been a few Mechanicus player.  Really want to push forward & the the Dark Mechanicus army complete to get some games, I think I got a game some point this week against them which will be first game vs the new codex & just get insight on what I want in my 1850pts force just get them on the go.
