Yes I saw the conversion of the Techpriest you posted & it look really cool.  You need to get him painted, your starting a Iron Hands heresy army?  He'd be great for them.  He a really nice model to paint.

 

I'm really happy how the Knight turn out.  Just got to the stage the conversion needed to be done.  Now it just waiting for those IW transfer from FW to get him all complete.  I want to try get a fifth Knight model & that mean I've got a stand alone force as well for 1850pts & as you said there really great models to build & paint.

I might get that sorted for Christmas time - Call of Chaos.

 

I've really enjoy ETL.  This was my first one.  Just in the past always came down to time & I don't really re-act well to hot weather/summer with headache & nose bleeds.  But this, for me been the best summer vs the past two year thankful to the rain, wind & cloud my type of weather.

Just suprise out of my vows, only two them where ever planned.  Now it Call of Chaos, so I'll be having a think on what units I want to put forward.

Thanks, I'm going to get him sprayed up, and work on a few other mech bits. I was playing Iron Hands, but have had my head turns slightly by the Death Guard. Either way the Mechanicum will fit.

Hydra - I'm looking forward to see the Death Guards & yes it really great with Mechanicus there a lot freedom there & I think he'll fit in.  Again you really need to get him painted, really want to see the Techpriest when he all finish.

 

Kizzdougs - Thanks very much & again from your Obliterators inspired the conversion.  Just as said before Iron Warriors are my main army & Chaos is the codex I've been collecting since 1996 with Black Legion.
Just my IW mean a lot to me & just the history they've gain from all the cool battle force over the years.  Like wise I just really enjoy everything about Chaos, conversion, background, etc...  I can careless what current top army that event - when I go to event all that matter is I'm going to get great games during a single day or weekend & making me wanting to add more models to my army.

I'm looking forward adding a few different unit like the Thousand Sons & the Bloodborn unit for no other reason that it'll be great to convert them & paint those models.  I'll think of a cool idea/theme/background why there with my Iron Warriors force.

 

Same goes with my Wolves & Ravenwing armies & why I like adding onto them & just have the chose of units as well.

 

I'll need to try get some more photos taken with everything together.  Ether I wait until Call of Chaos is finish or take a photo anyway of the stuff (minius unfinish Call of Chaos) just to see what the army like.  Last count 250 models from February.

Quick update

 

Just been spending today painting up the Dune-walker model.  It a really great model to build & really enjoy painting it for my Dark Mechanicus army.  Right now I'm just trying to think if I should add the yellow & black stripe on the right side of the model to help break up the red a little bit & tie it in a bit with my IW's?  Ether way I'm wanting to add more of them to my army.

I've been take part in a tale of x gamer type thing.  Ever three month we add on to a strike force, no point.  Pretty much 1 HQ, Troops, 1 somthing else.  Then HQ, Troop, Heavy support. then this one Fast & Elite.  Next one adding Allies.

Just been remind today that the gaming side happen soon.  While I got a heldrake on spure right now, be honsty I wanted to try somthing diffrent & end up chosen today to go for Raptors.  I do have a unit, but with this everything brand new units & allow me to add another unit of them as they are nice model & with this unit I want to use the 32mm base.
Also with the release of the Assault Marines, give me a lot cool things for the base & convert with my models, as well as lot left over parts for my Space Wolves.

 

Just going for this as somthing bit diffrent.  I like heldrake, I enjoy building, painting & gaming with them.  Just wanted to try somthing diffrent & as always down to cool models & idea.

So hopeful get them built during the weekend.

I like the Dune Walker, I think if you add hazzard stripes maybe just do a strip, as opposed to the whole side. Mines still in the box :p

Yes, it was just going to be a stripe.  Use masking tape to block off the area/paint black.  Was just somthing I was thinking about today while painting the model.

 

I'll get the Heldrake built, it been there for a while.  Not really sure yet, but just for this tale x gamer I though be cool to get the Raptors done.  So far all the Marine player & other Chaos player have also talk about taken Jump Pack troops for there Fast Attack chose.

I'm looking forward to converting up the Raptors.

 

On that note - As it current stand I've got 290 models in my Iron Warrior army, not included my Chaos Guard or Dark Mechanicus.

Thanks Aasfresser.  As said there it a really great model to build & really enjoy painting the Dune walker.  I want to try get more added to my army.  Like wise just really cool base add a lot of stuff to.

 

Also look like the T-Son model maybe sorted as one of my friends have said they've got the part left over from the Finecast Thunder Wolf lord.

 

Also had a really great game a few moment ago.  Lord of Iron, 4x Knight & 1875pts worth of Iron Warriors vs Salamander with Vulken, 4x Knight & 1875pts Salamander.  Photos should be posted soon as a few friends taken phtoso of the start of the game & when combat was to happen between Lord of Iron vs Vulken.

Just we had this game before a few week, but taken away three Knight from each of us.  Somthing had planned since last year.

Then after the game a few week ago my friend said they where getting a army of Knight sorted & wanted to another game trying them as well.

Hopeful time permit, I'm wanting to try make a start on building my unit of Raptors.  Or if I'm not able to there still a few parts I need to look out for this unit.  I'll also be getting the Dune walker finish tomorrow as well.

Just place a order for them today along with the Night Lord Terror squad helmet.  I'm looking forward to getting the transfer & to finial get the Siege Knight model all finish.  So once they arrive I'll hopeful get them added as soon as possible.

Raptors - I need to get the unit ready for this week for the gaming side of a tale x gamer type thing, so there cover my Fast Attack chose.  Bitz order just arrive - mainly Ork Armour plate parts so I can get the Champion & Melta arm Battle Brothers build some point today.

I'm wanting to try get the whole squad model to be flying about.

Like the first unit Raptors - The models are really cool, I've loss count amount boxies I have bought just for parts.  To think, before them I was never really all to keen on the past Raptors models.

So all this lot will be undercaoted in a few moment time & start getting the metal armour painted up on the Raptors.  Then as said try get the Champion & melta arm Battle Brother built some point today as well.

Spent today painting the three Raptor models.  I've still got to add gloss varnish to the glass, add Games Workshop water effect onto the base & blood for the blood god.  That'll have to wait until tomorrow, been a bit of a long day with delayed trains & being really busy with holidays, tourist season & people return from Edinburgh festivial <_<

 

But there glue onto the base now.  Champion & Melta arm model where undercaoted just over a hour ago follow by Leadbelcher spray.

Also just place a order for the Thasound Son upgrade set.  Been working out idea how I want the Thasound Son battle brother to look & the Sorcerer from the upgrade pack has always been cool.  Also unsure how long he might be around as I've notice a few of the metal shoulder pads & a few other thing missing from the web site.

Also saw a cool Chaos Guard army battle against Eldar & remind me I need to push forward & get my own army on the go.  So I've pick up a box of Storm Trooper for my Veterans.  Some will be built give me diffrent weapon chose for my unit & a few of the Storm Trooper will be converted as crew for the tanks.

So I'm going to aim get this done & if Call of Chaos allow use of Armour 13 style list then I'll push those unit toward to get this army done.

Armour Plate - Depend, some are box set I've bought other are from Bitz site & few are from friends.  Any Ork set I have bought end up being sold that a local wargaming event ether as spure or built & painted.

End of the day if it led to a cool conversion that all at matter to me in the long run.  Rather have a cool army I've enjoy collecting, building & painting vs pick a army that maybe top of event one week & drop the following week for the next thing.

It a really good event.  I always look forward to this & spending my two & a half weeks off during Christmas getting as much of the hobby done as possible.  Allow people to paint one off model, maybe start a new Chaos army or add on to one your already collecting.

This year I'm going to add a Bloodborn type unit (Khârn Eater of World novel), another Vindicator to my Iron Warriors.  If Guard are allow by Armour 13: Lost & the Damned?  I'll be aim get my Chaos Guard army on the move.

 

On another note - Iron Warriors transfer from FW arrive today :D  Aim to try get the Siege Knight all finish this weekend.  A friend going to help me/make sure I get the transfer done right, I don't want to mess up after all the work & also cost of everything.

Quick update.

 

As said earily today the FW Iron Warriors transfer arrive today & there really cool.  Pretty busy tomorrow, but hopeful get some time during the weekend to get these added to my Knight.  Just want to get time & a clear mind when sort these out.

I'm going to look that added a few of these to future models.  As said this will be the first time I'm useing transfer & as well as talk to friends, I'll also watch the youtube video's by Games Workshop

Hydra - Just apply the transfer a few moment ago.  It a lot easier than I though, as said before I've never really use transfer in the 19 years I've been in the hobby.  But all went well, just the right shoulder pad I'll need to add a little paint to match the IW icon.

Games Workshop youtube video on the Knight has really help out a lot for reference & a great guide.

I'm just apply the first layer of weather powder to the Siege Knight right now - Just take a break while the MIG pigmint fixer dry.

So I'll get some photos tomorrow.  Right now it just a few more layer of weather powder & a few finial detail.  But overall really like how the Siege Knight looking & how close the model is from being finish.

Raptors - I should have the Melta & Champion varnish tomorrow & again photos will be taken tomorrow.
