Captain Semper

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words! smile.png

I'm in the process of deciding where to go next. I am considering the Primarch with the Phoenix Termies bundle but we'll see...

It's a beautiful army, Cap. Very inspiring.

Would love to see your tackle some Phoenix Termies, as they're some of my fave HH models.

And the reason I started ECs in the first place! laugh.png

Thanks for the support ADB! I'll be continuing on the path to ruin pretty soon. smile.png

Beautiful work Semper! Glory to the III!

I'm really loving the purple and gold that you've achieved. The turquoise gems are an excellent spot colour as well.

Looking forward to seeing some more of the Sang Froid very soon :tu:

Thank you for the comments everybody! :woot:

Here are two more (one's base is still WIP)

ALSO remember this guy?

Never was completely happy with him. The sword was way to long to use from the riding position, the crest did not look to aerodynamic (I know such issues are not really issues in 40k) but it just sort of bothered me. An the base was a temporary solution.

He has now become:

New rider and new base (to match the others). See:

Looking lovely as always Captain - having just finished up 5 Scimitars myself, I have to ask how you found painting them - I kinda struggled if Im honest. The new rider looks great, good choice with the axe. The Phoenix Terminators are looking good too, you're almost tempting me to get them myself

Thank you all for your kind words. I would like to apologise for not relying earlier but the first month of the ETL is by far the most demanding on my time!

As it happens I found the time to complete the Phoenix Guard. Those models are awesome and I recommend them to anyone!

Anyway here they are:

And I got this battlefield mat from Deep Cut Studios so here's the whole host:

So that concludes my EC endeavour! OR DOES IT?

Great painting, and great pictures too, Semper. That battlemat looks pretty cool. How's the quality.

Also, you know I love contemptors! What I especially like about yours is that FW labeled it as Chaos Space Marines. :d

Looking forward to your take on him, with your beautiful purple. :tu:

@ Augustus: It's from Deep Cut Studios. The print quality is great and apparently you can even write on it with water based markers (I'm not gonna try it but yeah). It is PVC - i.e. relatively thin material - not the "mouse-pad thick" style... So not as luxurious but relatively cheaper. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to put it back in the tube it came in, so storage is kind of an issue. All in all I'd recommend it.

@ deathspectersgt7: I know right!? :D I don't have any other credible piece of 40k scenery unfortunately. :( I have to work on that...
