As the Atuogun shells pling harmlessly off his armoured form, Solastion has just enough time to recognize that the unoccupied Heavy Stubber Servitor has got him in his sights due to him being in, what is essentially, nomansland. Whilst autoguns were of little concern to a fully armoured Astartes, Heavy Stubbers could become problematic if only due to the concussive effect their weighty shells would cause under concentrated fire.

As the Servitor Fires, Solastion sidestepped out of the way but grunts in disapproval as he hears and feels a Stubber shell ping off his helmet.

Solastion will attempt to dodge with Agi 33 and Dodge Trained

Dodge: 1d100 7 for 2 DoS negating 3 of the 4 hits.

Atratus was pleased to see that the ships captain had at least provided something of a challenge as the servitor continues to function, though his dissatisfaction with the initial blow deepened.

As the cyborg raises its gun to fire Atratus catches it and forces the barrel aside, the servitors crude but powerful limbs more than a match for a human but not for an astartes such as himself as with his free hand he sought to drive his chainsword into what passed for its heart.

Melee range - parry and counter attack

Parry: 1d100 = 5 (target 73 for parry, or 65 for dodge - 6 DoS)

Attack: 1d100 = 26 (target 43). Hit (body) for 4+14 damage = 18, Pen 4

GM: Servitor B does not dodge (too mindless) and takes 18 damage (Pen 4) - 6 armour and TB8 reduces the damage by 10 - so 8 damage. This is enough to kill the servitor!

The chainblade bursts through the back of the servitor with a juddering shower of gore. Its spine is severed, and whilst the mechanical parts of the body falteringly attempt to maintain some semblance of control, it is clear that the servitor is finished.

Team Solastion can now re-declare their actions at the start of a new turn.

[ooc]on mobile, no colors :( [/ooc]

Seeing his battle-brothers quickly and without question follow his orders, Solastion will continue forward noting his distinct lack of mobility with regards to his Jump Pack equipped brethren.

[if possible]

Solastion will attempt to charge forward to the target currently engaged with Varvost in an attempt it off to free up the Eradicator so that he may surge forward and in a sort of hopping-amphibioid manner to make quick work of the clumsy Servitors.

[ooc]Solastion will charge servitor 5 and attack it with his chainsword.

Ws46 + 10 charge + 10 ganging up? = 56/66

Attack: 1d100 39 2DoS and 1 hit.

Chainsword Damage: 1d10 4 + 3 (chainsword) + 13 (SB total) = 20 Rending Damage, pen 3

(Tearing damage was a 1)

[if not possible]

Grunting in disapproval at his own relative lack of mobility, He levels his bolt pistol at another servitor not wanting to risk firing upon Varvost whilst he was engaged with it in honourable combat.

[ooc]Solastion fires his bolt pistol at Servitor 4 as he uses his full action to fire semi-auto and move.

BS49 +10 range + 0 semi-auto & move = 59

BS59 Single Shot: 1d100 91

But he grunts in disapproval as the flurry of heavy stubber shells that impact him cause his aim to go wide and the bolt shells detonate against the back wall of the cargo container.

”Keep on them Brothers. Atratus, Tyber attempt to focus fire on the heavy stubber equipped Servitors, Varvost and I will deal with the others.”

Standing in the back of the elevator, Sabaan felt his armour' s anticipation. He blink-clicked through his bionic eye's spectral filter, each click accompanied by a silent mantra of the Iron Creed. The doors slid open and weapon fire ricocheted of their warplate, streaking from the elevator cabin walls. An unprotected human would have been cut down already. Sabaan noted that the Voice of Thunder had seen fit to put up a challenge. Satisfactory. The Devastator's heavy bolter opened fire, covering the advance. Calmly, Sabaan's autosenses tracked the targets. He decided that a stray shot at this stage would not enhance squad unity. Coming up around the Devastator's bulk, The Iron Hand brought his bolter up and send a single boltshell towards the dead eyed head of the remaining heavy weapon servitor. Sabaan did not wait for the mass reactive shell to impact. Keeping his boltgun up, he contiuned advancing behind his Battlebrothers.

OOC

WS 51 Called shot - Head (-20), Short Range (+10) Success 1d100= 1 (http://orokos.com/roll/603329#)

Damage is 7 http://orokos.com/roll/603333# / 4 http://orokos.com/roll/603334#, so 7+9 = 16

Using the Recoil Baffling, Sabaan still gets to move his AG modifier, so can come up around the Devastator and follow into the room at the 7 o'clock position.

Thorvald hefts his frag cannon and depresses the trigger, the huge weapon cycling with a chunk-chunk-chunk sound as shrapnel tears the servitors to pieces in front of him.

Thorvald fires his frag cannon using semi-auto burst at Servitor 2 and Servitor 1.
BS47+10 (Close Range) = 17 (4 Degrees of Success)

Hit 1 (Servitor 2) = Damage 3D10+5+(Mighty Shot, 5) = 26, Pen 8 in location 71.

Hit 2 (Servitor 1) = Damage 3D10+5+5 = 26, Pen 8 in the 29
-- Also hits Servitor 2 (23, Pen 8 in the 27)

GM:
Servitor 2 does not dodge (too mindless) and takes 26 damage (Pen 8) - 6 armour and TB8 reduces the damage by 8 - so 18 damage. This is enough to kill the servitor! (It would have also then taken another 15 damage from the second shot!)

Servitor 1 does not dodge (too mindless) and takes 19 damage (Pen 8) - 6 armour and TB8 reduces the damage by 8 - so 11 damage. It then takes 26 damage (Pen 8) - 6 armour and TB8 reduces the damage by 8 - so 18 damage. This is enough to kill the servitor!

The Space Wolf inclines his head to the Storm Son next to him.

"Easy when they keep coming towards you, isn't it?"

Free of the confines of the elevator, a mind impulse activated the Servo Arm on his back. It came to life with a pneumatic hiss and a began whirring ascend from it's resting position. The sound was lost among the high etched staccato of auto rifle fire and the thrumming of the heavy stubbers. The roar of bolter fire answered it, punctuated by the exploding mass reactive shells. Sabaan watched his autosenses track the servitors and noted their projected possible fields of fire. He kept the Boltgun up, aligned with the remaining Heavy Weapon Servitor without breaking a stride. As registering the shell impacting on the lobotomized mechanoid, he prepared to fire again.

OOC:

If the StubberSerf remains active by the time of Sabaan's iniative, he will try to repeat his amazing feat of arms (Called Shot). If not he will provide covering fire as he continues his recoil Baffling assisted movement towards Greysight's left flank and attack the closest target threatening the groups left flank. Normal ranged attack! Semi auto, as these are lower threat targets and there is no longer a danger hitting a brother by accident. The servoarm thingy serves as a mod text only.

Keep on them Brothers. Atratus, Tyber attempt to focus fire on the heavy stubber equipped Servitors, Varvost and I will deal with the others.”

Upon hearing those words Tyber holsters his bolt pistol, draws both his arming sword and chainsword, and activates his jump pack to charge the last heavy weapon armed servitor.

OOC: Jump charge distance is 30, (15*2), Tyber covers 25m distance between his location and Servitor A

Charge attack at Servitor A, Target Number (44+20 Charge) 64

Arming Sword charge attack: 1d100 33

Location: 33; Body

Arming sword damage: 1d10+15 24 Pen 3

Sinking his arming sword deep into the chest of the Servitor, Tyber keeps his chain sword ready to deflect any counter attack.

In his mind Tyber repeats the words Chest, chest, head over and over, reciting what he learned from facing Necrons, that attack pattern seemed to grant him a better than average chance at keeping those foes in pieces.

Solastion, Tyber, Vârvost and Atratus

Tyber leaps into the air, coming back down next to the remaining Heavy Stubber Servitor. The blade strikes deep, throwing the mechanical man off-balance.

GM: 24 damage (Pen 3) against Servitor A's 6 armour and 8 TB = 13 damage.

...and yet, still alive. On the other side of the cargo hold, Vârvost wrenches his chain-axe free from one servitor. Activating his jump-pack he barrels into another, knocking it to the ground.

Vârvost attacks Servitor 5 with his chain-axe.

WS57 = 21 (Pass, 5 DoS)

Damage 1D10+5+10 (1,4,9)+10+5 = 24, Pen 3

GM: Which kills the servitor outright.

Vârvost attempts a knock-down attack on Servitor 4:

Vârvost STR 61 = 24 (3DoS)

Servitor STR 50 = 100 (5 DoF)

Servitor is knocked to the ground.

Servitor suffers 1D5-3+SB damage = 11 damage. (Negated by 12 armour)

Sorry, been at work:

Akkad spotted the remaining Heavy Stubber Servitor track him - it was no great feat as he had not moved.  As the rounds sprayed out towards him, his senses and years of experience twisted his body into the best angles possible to deflect and usurp the enemy attack.

Akkad will now Dodge as his Reaction.

D100 roll - Target 45: 40 - Success.

This will negate the first hit causing damage - as far as I can tell, the rest land, but don't do anything to me.

Akkad's Turn:

His ceramite and plasteel outer carapace rang as the shots found him, but his battle-knowledge told him he had evaded certain harm.  I dodged the proverbial bullet, echoed around his mind as he squared up once again.  His brethren had attacked and well.  Thorvald had smashed two servitors with the bellowing Frag Cannon and Greysight and Sabaan had struck true with their weapons.

"Easy when they keep coming towards you, isn't it?"  A slight growling chuckle escaped the Space Wolf.  Daon smiled coldly under his helmet as Cadence levelled in judgement.  The maw of the weapon as big as the portal to Hell itself.

Akkad will now attack targets B, 3, 4 and 5 in that order as they have all handily stepped into 2 Metres distance from each other, prioritising B as the bigger threat.

BS 42+20 (FA)+10 (Half Range) = Target 72.
D100 Roll: 61 = 1 Success + 1 DoS = 2 Hits.

Damage:
Target B: 6 +12 +2 (Mighty Shot) = 20 Dam, Pen 5 (Location 16 - Right Arm)
Target 3: 10 (RF Confirmed!) + 10 (RF Not Confirmed) +12 +2 (Mighty Shot) = 34 Dam, Pen 5 (Location 93 - Left Leg)

Two rounds tore holes in the mind-blasted lumps of meat and reduced them to gristle.  Akkad winced as the rest of his rounds went wide - the Dodge had cost him accuracy, for which he was annoyed, but it had not cost him blood.

GM:

Servitor B takes 20 Damage (Pen 5) - Armour 6 and TB8 reduces the damage by 9 = 11 damage.

Servitor 3 takes 34 Damage (Pen 5) - Armour 6 and TB8 reduces the damage by 9 = 25 damage. This is enough to kill the servitor!

Another hail of heavy bolter fire tears through the ranks of the servitors, detonations tearing apart body parts and cybernetics with equal ease. Only three servitors remain now - and all are badly damaged.

Seeing the opening made by his brothers landing Atratus rounds the corner striking a blow across the back of the servitors neck where considerations of mobility left it poorly armoured.

Perhaps due to damage from Tybers impact or some flaw in it's construction the servitors head came cleanly away, caught by the whirling blades of the chainsword and thrown some distance clear towards Solastion feet. He grimaced under his helmet at the thought that the son of Caliban might interpret the blow as crass showmanship or dismissal of his battle brothers prowess.

THE FUSILLADE CONTINUED, as the Iron Hand and the Wolf opened fire, spraying the remaining targets with well aimed shots. Akkad had re-adjusted his aim and concentrated on the remaining servitor, whose arms had been replaced with rig of hydraulics and hoppers that ended in two deadly heavy stubbers.

Greysight aimed at the servitor's secondary power plant located in its skull. Just as he squeezed the trigger, a round from behind the target struck Greysight's silver pauldron, and the Storm Son cursed in annoyance as the bolt's trajectory had missed his intended target entirely.

Akkad attempts to enter SQUAD MODE as a Free Action.  Vaidan has FW Bonus 4, generating 4 Cohesion.  He also has Command as Trained+10, this generates +2 Cohesion.

Total Cohesion Points: 6

Cohesion Challenge Target: 6

D100 Roll....3.

Akkad has entered Squad Mode.

He will now spend 2 Cohesion Points and nominate Chapter Attack Pattern: The Big Guns Never Tire (Free Action) and increase his RoF by 1.

The Astral Claw shrugged his shoulders and planted his feet firmly, daring the world to shake him loose.  A blink-click activated his magboot soles and he stood, like a boulder before a hurricane, leaning in.  He disabled the safety lock on the firing mechanism of his heavy weapon with another rune.  The Badabian Cuneiform Script scrawled across his eyes, confirming the order.  Mechanisms cycled and for a moment, his breath was all he could hear.  In....out...a heartbeat, then his finger tightened on the trigger...

Akkad will attack Targets 5 and 4 in that order, allocating hits as they bear.

BS 42+20 (FA)+10 (Half Range) = Target 72.
D100 Roll: 98! JAMMED.
Damage: 0!

...and - nothing.  For a moment he was confused, then a crunch announced it.  Dead Man's Click.  More Runes scrolled over his Heads-up-Display as to the location of the fault - feed belt.  His shoulders began to heave as the laughter overtook him.  After a few moments he shook his head and gained control of himself.  Instead of clearing the stoppage, he clutched Cadence to his chest and drew his Bolt Pistol in his right hand.

With a quick kick of his sabaton to the torso of the wreaked servitor, Tyber frees his blade before turning with a quick subtle glide towards the closest remaining servitor, with quick practiced strikes; he delivers a pair of quick blows, first to the machine’s right leg, with the back swing striking the head.

DESPITE THE LION'S best efforts, Akkad's heavy bolter jammed, its furious roar abruptly ceasing. The kill team could not allow a moment of retaliatory fire, and Greysight located the servitor that spoiled his aim. Firing two shots in quick succession, the bolts punctured the meat of the servitor's body and the point where flesh met the steel on its right arm. Both bolts detonated in a shower of scraps molten steel and shredded tissue.

It had taken less than twenty seconds to destroy the targets, but it always paid to be vigilant.

Sensing Tyber moving behind him Atratus shoves the servitor before him aside and advances on the next, hearing blade tear into flesh and steel behind him bare moments later.

Sabaan continued his advance, seemingly oblivious to the shells impacting on his right side. The cybernetic arm kept his Boltgun trained on the enemy where pain and tissue damage would have impaired an inferior organic limb. His autosenses registered the telltale noise of a weapon jam next to him. Trusting in the inviolability of the sacred Iron, Sabaan moved to interpose himself between the remaining servitors and the Devastator. He didn't even consciously register his attempt to shield Akkad. He followed the Calculus and attempted to deny the enemy a clean shot at his Clare's heavy weapon specialist. The Head of the Heavy Stubber Servitor remained locked in his sights. He pulled the trigger. Another bolt round shot towards the target...

With the last remaining servitor somehow deciding that getting closer to Solastion was a good idea, he picks up his pace and rushes into close quarters with the man-machine and brings his chainsword down in a swift slash...

Weapon Skill 46 + 20 (Charge) = 66 (should be ~4-5m away at most?)

CHARGE!: 1d100 64 Simple success; reversed to 46 for hit location - Body

Chainsword Damage: 2d10 12 taking the 10 out of the two due to Tearing, therefore righteous fury!

FR Confirmed?: 1d100 1 Super Confirmed O_o

RF Damage: 1d10 5 No further RIGHTEOUS FURIES.

Total Damage Dealt: 10 (roll) + 5 (RF) + 3 (chainsword) + 13 (Solastion) = 31 Rending Damage, Pen 3

To its chest, the teeth of his chainsword biting down hard, gristle and sparks alike flying out of the torso as his chainsword makes its way from the top right shoulder all the way down to its left hip.

Solastion didn't even notice that the servitor was firing its autogun squarely at him the whole time either, the small calibre bullets not having the necessary punch to cause him any harm in his armoured form.

TEAM SOLASTION

31 damage (Pen 3) is reduced by Armour 6 and TB8 to 20 damage. This kills Servitor 2 outright.

Servitor 3 attacks Varvost in close combat:

WS35-10 (DWW) = 57 (MISS)

WS35-10 (DWW) = 79 (MISS)

NEW TURN

Varvost attacks Servitor 2

Attack 1: WS57 = 46 (HIT)

Damage: 7+5 (+10SB) (Pen 3) = Armour 6 and TB 8 reduce by 11, so 11 damage.

Attack 2: BS41 = 13 (HIT)

Damage: 8+9 (Pen 4) = Armour 6 and TB8 reduce by 10, so 7 damage.

This is enough to kill the servitor.

Blocking the servitor's ineffectual blows with the haft of his chainaxe, Varvost fires into its chest again with his bolt pistol, finally killing it.

There is a moment of silence, accompanied only by the sounds of dripping viscera and gore. In scant seconds, the Kill_Team had cleansed the cargo bay, almost heedless of the token resistance put up by the servitors.

You have an opportunity to talk to one another as you exit the cargo bay.

TEAM SABAAN

Sabaan's third consecutive headshot finally shatters the servitor's head in an explosion of gore. There is a moment where all you can hear is the cycling of weapons and the blink-click of your auto-senses. The moment itself is somewhat of an anti-climax - all of you are aware that the servitors were not worthy opponents.

As you exit the bay, you have a few moments to talk to one another.

Standing in the lift, Tyber opens a belt pouch just in front of the scabbard for his arming sword and removes a dark satin cloth to begin removing the fluids of the servitors from his blade, without thinking he asks “Brother Solastian, are you well? I saw that you took a hit from one of the Servitors that was not deflected away.”

They had more fuild in them than Necrons, but they moved like the Necrons had moved, though nowhere near as lethal as the Necrons. Tyber thinks to himself, reflecting on that last few seconds. He pauses for a moment over the silver word ‘Invicto’ on his blade, his mind wanders to the fights to come; I wonder if it would not have been better to have had the Servitors programed to act like Genestealers, so that we might be better prepared to face this threat.

”I am, Brother Tyber. The shell, whilst it did strike true did little in terms of actual harm. The concussive impact of the shell shattering against my war plate was the worst of it.” he replies as he revvs his chainsword a few times to rid it of the blood, fluids and gore that were caught upon the weapons adamantine teeth.

”It seems that none of us were harmed in this exercise which is good. I wonder how the other team fared. They had more in the way if heavy firepower...” he muses as he looks over where the heavy stubber shell struck his armour to ascertain if any light repairs would be required.

”I do wonder what Vaidan has been doing during all these training sessions. He certainly hasnt been participating with us, thats for certain.”
