Thanks to you both. I should be getting a 3d-printed model soon to represent the narrator of so many of the missives, Trentor Siv Grengor, and also I've got a couple of unique models that should arrive in the next couple of months- a former Puritan Malleus Inquisitor who has been slowly corrupted by Chaos in return for longer life (classic tale of for the "greater good" bad bargin), a conversion that I'll be making out of an Invictor Warsuit, and Livonia's Interrogator who will be made with a mostly standard SoS Jenetia Krole (I actually really like the base model and can't think of a decent change aside from swapping to a non-SoS style head- I'm open to suggestions though).

Thought for the Day: Arrogance goes hand in hand with heresy, guard your thoughts well.

My Inquisitor,

We have finally been able to set up a meeting with Inquisitor Ly. The Inquisitor is known to be aged and intensely private, thus the late introductions. From Inquisition records I have compiled a list of Ly's operational procedures and factional beliefs. He appears to only come out into public in the most dire circumstances, leaving his retinue of agents to do most of the hands-on work in collecting evidence and acquiring prisoners. His most notable trait is his experience as an information collater and interrogation master; he is more at home in an interrogation cell or strategium than in the field. Despite his personal aversion to field-work, he does seem to be effective when he does join the battle. Like his retinue, Inquisitor Ly is extremely augmented, perhaps more so than anyone not of the Adeptus Mechanicus that I have ever seen. They are very subtle augmetics, being more in-line with humanocentric norms than some of the extreme adaptations of the Mechanicus, but they are extremely advanced.

Due to his membership in the Ordo Xenos (and their remit being somewhat divergent from our own), his personal disposition to the mainline factions is not as easy for us to divine as say, the Ordo Hereticus. His accessible writings show him to be very intelligent and well-spoken, but verging on Radicalism when confronted with the use of Xenos technology. Ly does work within the Imperial administration quite often, which lead to a tentative determination as a Radical-aligned Amalathian, if such a thing exists.

Your meeting will precede within one Solar month. I have attached pic-recordings of the Inquisitor and his known warband.

Thought for the day: Fear is a tool, use it well.

My Inquisitor,

Greetings. I will soon join you at <PLANET REDACTED>. I will be bringing our newest member, Magos Genetor T'ixchi. T'ixchi comes via Arch-Magos Septumnevvis of Explorator Fleet Stygies Alpha-VIII-B, who has acquiested to your request of a Xenos-knowledgeable tech-priest. The background of Magos T'ixchi, like most of the Adeptus Mechanicus, is difficult to ascertain given their guardianship of digital information. Still, he has been with the Explorator fleet for over a century and preformed numerous Xenos studies and dissections, though he has not been mentioned in in specific regard in terms of aptitude. There are also no demerits notated, so the conclusion could be drawn that Magos T'ixchi is a competent, though unremarkable tech-priest. We will see, I suppose. Of note, Magos T'ixchi does seem adept at gene-weaving, as he has created several guardian creatures that are specifically adapted to the current planetary environments we will be encountering. The most recent, and successful, of these is a chimer-hound that has preformed very well in simulated assault/protection scenarios.

Our current stop is the last before we arrive at your side. I will endeavor to have a spy-cadre set up as quickly as possible and infiltrate any local vox/sensoriums.

Your servant

Trentor Siv Grengor

The Corvus Stiletto gun-cutter, or as it is colloquially known- the Inquisition gun-cutter, is an advanced assault shuttle and transport. Using the Deathwatch's Corvus Blackstar assault transport as a base, the gun-cutter has had several alterations and modifications made to it that make it a quite different behicle than its sister ship. The Stiletto replaces Astartes-sized seating and weaponry storage with more normal sized equipment, which increased the transportation capacity from twelve Space Marines to twenty human-equivalent occupants. For offensive weaponry, the specialized Blackstar launchers were removed to be replaced with a pair of servitor-operated heavy bolters; the wing-mounted missile launchers are kept but the munitions replaced with more standard Imperial Navy missiles; the twin lascannon mount has been scaled down, with one lascannon kept and the other replaced with an advanced sensorium/vox suppression system that is utilized to guide the Stiletto and stifle any enemy tracking systems. While not able to be produced in large numbers, in fact they are unable to be produced in the same number as their Blackstar sister-ships, the Corvus Stiletto is deadly weapon in the hands of the Inquisition- it's stealth, heavy armor, and relatively potent firepower are useful in the hunt for the Imperium's foes.

Managed to crank out two more Tempestor Primes as well. These will be Captain Artru's lieutenants in the army, but as of right now I don't have any names for them.

Re: Inquisitor Livonia Retinue

Sir,

My team has become aware of a sophisticated vox-intercept on our communications, thus the hand-delivery of this data-core. Attempts to trace this intercept have been unsuccessful. I suspect Inquisitor Livonia's spymmasters are the ones behind this, but have no evidence to support this. My team has begun to aggressively search the Inquisitorial archives for information your fellow Inquisitor's acolytes and retainers. I have found a partially-redacted background on Livonia's spymasters, Trentor Siv Grengor.

Trentor and Grengor Siv, or Trentor Siv Grengor as they are more commonly known (due to their unique birth circumstances) are Livonia's eyes and ears. They are skilled data-thieves and personnel managers, specializing in interception, subversion, and agent management. The Siv brothers are clones, created by a Rogue Inquisitor named Rutherforq; he was attempting to manufacture human-cogitators, humans with the ability to replace Mechanicus cogitator-engines with brain power. The attempt was a failure, as too many of the clones wound up burning out or becoming susceptible to Warp corruption. The Sivs managed to survive both their birth and training, and the razing of the cretch-school by Inquisitor Livonia. Deemed non-corrupt, Livonia inducted them into her army of agents, eventually installing them as her head spymaster(s). Trentor is a brilliant specialist in the field of agent management/manipulation, able to get his assets into many cabals and "turning" heretics into unwitting informants. Grengor uses his abilities to manage vox and sensorium warfare, noosphere-intelligence gathering and servitor spy-drones. Together they are very dangerous, and have used the confusion over their names to convince many enemies that they face only one man, rather than twins. I believe that these two are the heart of Livonia's rather impressive intelligence network, and we should continue to monitor them carefully as we work together with their master.

Slyss

Here are data-captures of the twins during our recent meeting.

I realized that I haven't posted my most recent painted stuff- managed to finish off the last two Taurox Primes that I have (four total now) so all of the Inquisition's transports are finished.

The two on the right are the new ones in the first pic.

Up next is the remaining 50+ stormtroopers (18 plasmagunners, 18 hot-shot lasguns, 6 sergeants, 2 vox trooper, and 2 each melta/grenade launcher troops). That will be the last of the Inquisition forces as a tabletop army, but I'll probably be putting out some random warband content after that. I did subscribe to the Imperium magazine, so I might start up another thread that'll detail my delve into the world of Primaris and Necrons, which will both be new to me (never had a Necrons army and the only SM I have is my Firstborn DA army). I managed to pick up a Necron Warrior box and six of the Skorpeth Destroyers from the Indomidus set, so I'll be working on color schemes for the Necrons after I finish up the stormtroopers. Looks like it will be a busy next couple of months!

Thought for the Day: The guilty flee where the Inquisition prowl

My Inquisitor,

I have received a vox message from your former Interrogator, the now Inquisitor Tia Soffri. She will be arriving at your location shortly, and bringing her kill-squad with her. As you no doubt are aware, after you sponsored her for full Inquisitor status twenty years ago, Inquisitor Soffri has been very busy. She has become a very effective combat commander against daemonic entities and heretics. Having her proven combat capabilities on your side should balance out the unpredictability of Inquisitor Davian's warband. She indicated that her arrival should coincide with that of the last requested units of our stormtrooper cohort, so we should be ready to act against the Emperor's enemies shortly.

Finished up quite a few stormtroopers this month, and figured I'd show off the progress of the overall army. I'm only twenty stormtroopers away from having a fully painted 2k army (plus various Inquisitors and retinues) and I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out.

Overall army, minus the Corvus Stiletto which I forgot... This was before most of the models I got done this month were painted, so there are only twenty silver models left now.

As this army is coming to a state of completion, I will probably be posting less and less on this thread. I will still be doing some Inquisition warbands and the like whenever I need a break from a couple of new projects I'm starting on/finishing, but overall I'm pretty content with what I've done so far. Aside from the stormtroopers, I've still got a Dracosan Armored Transport coming that I'm going to be converting to a counts-as Taurox Prime (an Inquisitor's personal ride) and most likely some HH Ogryns. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Thought for the Day: Innocence Proves Nothing

Inquisitor Livonia, greetings. Your request for a ground transport with an armor rating of Gamma or higher has been approved. The transport in question will be a Dracosan Armored Transport, with altered weapons loadout (Mana IId-class Gatling Cannon, Heavy Volley Guns, Storm Bolter) that you specified. This transport will provide more protection than the standard Taurox Prime transports that your stormtroopers are currently equipped with, while still matching their speed and firepower. Delivery will occur within one week, at Dock <REDACTED>.

With respect,

Quartermaster Alin Turlu

Totally forgot to post this beast, which will serve as a counts-as Taurox Prime if I don't want to include the Corvus Stiletto in my Inquisition lists. Loved this kit, as it was by far one of the easiest FW kits I've worked with- three massive sections (main hull, both tread sides) and only a few bits and bobs that fit well without a massive amount of cutting/filing.

Currently working on painting some of the merces from the previous posts, so I'll be putting pics up of them and probably the last two members of Ly's group during Oct, and hopefully getting all the stuff I need to work on my big life-support conversion that I've been planning for a while now...

Thought for the day: He Watches in Silence

Possible mercenary contractors available: the Cadmius Brothers. This group has be found acting on several Inquisition contracts as well as certain other Imperial agencies missions (bounty hunting, repossession actions, etc...). They are not officially sanctioned as members of any known Inquisition retinue or bounty hunter guild.  Background on the group is limited, though their known weaponry and augments seem to indicate a close/former relationship with the Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii forces. Consider employing them only as deniable operators.

The known members and their specialties are as follows:

Ignis- close quarters, flame weapons and incendiaries

Reaper- close quarters, flechette and fragmentation weaponry

Silence- long range, sniper and leader

Spectre- assassin, stealth infiltration and asset removal

What are these heads from on the latest models?

AdMech Pteraxii kit, along with the flechette carbine, trio of grenades, and the flamer (though I cut down the length).

Nice! Maybe I might use them in the future.

Love these Palanite Enforcers models, very nice to put together (even though I kinda switched up the positioning of weapons) and a good brutal look to them. Should be getting some paint on them next month, as I've got some Primaris to finish, but looking forward to it. Haven't built the second half of the box, but I'll find something to do with them eventually.

The Black Sentinels, an Overview
As the armed forces of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, the Black Sentinels provide the Imperium with a professional force of psyker-hunters, jailers, and executioners. They, along with the Sisters of Silence, crew the infamous Black Ships and are the sole guardians of the Telepathica's Terran fortress, the Obsidian Keep. Trained in a similar manner to the Tempestus Scions, Black Sentinels go through intense psycho-indoctrination and mind wipes to combat the horrors of the warp that untrained psykers can unleash. Armed with advanced carapace armor, bespoke firearms with anti-psyker ammunition, and even noctilith weapons, the Black Sentinels are among the most well equipped of the Imperium's mortal forces. Since the opening of the Cicatrix Maledictum, the Black Sentinels have been seen more and more on the battlefields of the Imperium, battling the hordes of warp-tainted psykers alongside such legendary figures as the Grey Knights and Adeptus Custodes.

Black Sentinel Organization
Though small and rarely seen compared to other of the Emperor's military forces such as the Astra Militarum or Adeptus Sororitas, the Black Sentinels have numerous task forces and independent command groups operating within the Imperium.
Black Sentinels operate in loose teams of five to ten members, lead by sergeants. These are in turn part of a larger task force lead by an Admonisher, which can contain anywhere from three to a hundred or more teams, depending on the task force's duties. Task forces are dispatched by one of three command groups that form the operational leadership of the Black Sentinels and are divided by their function.
The largest of these commands known as the Knights of the Keep, based on Holy Terra itself. Charged with defending the Keep from outside influence or attack, the Knights also  watch over the sanctioned psykers themselves; Warp-tainted psykers will quickly find themselves facing a blade or bullet from a Sentinel hand. Training new members and keeping every Black Sentinel equipped is also handled by the Warden's massive facilities. Everything from a Warder's rare and complex Noctilith Spear to a simple stubcarbine bullet is made by mind-scrubbed menials and blessed by dedicated Telepathica techpriests.
The Watchers of the Void are Black Sentinels tasked with crewing the infamous Black Ships. Every Black Sentinels' first deployment out of training is to a Black Ship, for only among the rounded-up dregs of madmen, wytches, and rogues that comprise a Black Ship's cargo will a Sentinel truly known the dangers of untrained psykers. Many Sentinels volunteer to stay with the Watchers, providing a solid core of veterans well versed in dealing with shipboard action and handling newly-acquired cargo.
The last formal Black Sentinel command is known as the Sunderers. Comprised of the Sentinels' fiercest members, including the majority of their Chastiser squads, the Sunderers provide direct combat assistance to other military forces in need of anti-psyker experience. Usually seconded to Imperial Guard regiments without sanctioned battle pyskers of their own, the Sunderer teams deploy and eliminate rogue pyskers and enemy witches too difficult orpowerful for the Guard to deal with themselves. Due to the Cicatrix Maledictum's seeming empowering psychic nature, Sunderer command has been sending out more and more units in an attempt to stem the tide of unchecked psykers. While the Knights of the Keep are still the largest command among the three, the Sunderers have been requesting more and more members in the years after the Great Rift.

* As a note, members of the Holy Inquisition will frequently requisition individuals, teams, or even whole task forces in the pursuit their duties. Many individual Black Sentinels remain with and become part of an Inquisitor's retinue, as their unique training and skills are powerful assets.

Black Sentinel equipment and weaponry
In their anti-psyker role, the Sentinels require a number of bespoke or specialized weapons. Whether guarding the Keep, patrolling a Black Ship, or on a battlefield anywhere in the galaxy, the Black Sentinels come well equipped for their task.
Equipment
Psi-blocker: The most essential equipment of a Black Sentinel, the psi-blocker is a intricate piece of technology contained within their combat helm. It provides the Sentinel wearing it with an increased resistance to psychic effects.
Sentinel carapace armor: Similar to that worn by Tempestus Scions, the heavy carapace armor protects against more mundane threats.
Dominator shield: Given to the elite Chastisers, Dominator shields are laced with psychic-suppressent materials, including blackstone and powdered psyker bone. When locked together in a shield-wall, Chastisers are able to block the powers of up to even Gamma-level pyskers.
Melee Weapons
Shock baton/maul: Well known as the main weapon of the Adeptus Arbites, shock batons provide their wielder with a stuning, powerful impact against their foe. At higher levels, the baton's impact is lethal. A shock maul has the same effect, though it's larger size and higher energy capacity mean lethal strikes are the standard level of force.
Noctilith Spear: Made of the extremely rare compound colloquially known as "Blackstone", Noctilith spears are crafted by Mechanicus adepts specially trained in their manufacture. Through unknown processes, when an energy charge is sent through the spear's tip a sphere of psychic-dampening force is released. This force is inimical and deadly to pyskers, giving the Black Sentinels a needed advantage in close combat.
Ranged weapons
Enforcer shotgun: Rugged, simple, and able to use a variety of different munitions, the enforcer shotgun is a staple weapon among the law enforcement and military forces of the Imperium.
Marksman auto-rifle: Used by a squad's designated marksman, these rifles are accurate and deadly at ranges longer than most other Sentinel weaponry.
Stubcarbine: A weapon with a blistering rate of fire, stubcarbines are used when it is needed to suppress a target with overwhelming firepower at short range.
Crucifor pistol: Loaded with blessed rounds, a Crucifor can punch through a witch's kine-shield or an Aeldari breastplate with equal ease.
Subduer grenade launcher: Smaller than the standard grenade launchers of the Imperial Guard, the Subduer is accurate and well-suited to provide Chastisers with covering fire as they advance.
Concussion carbine/cannon: Concussion weapons use charged air particles that smash into a target, causing effects ranging from broken bones to lethal internal injuries.
Witchbane rounds: Anti-psyker ammunition that uses blessed silver and the powdered bones of pyskers to wreak havoc on those that use the power of the Warp.

Known Black Sentinel units
Admonisher
A Black Sentinel Admonisher is a veteran of many Black Ship cruises and extraction deployments. Using their experience, the Admonisher directs his fellow Sentinels in the arts of psyker capture, containment, and execution. Admonishers are the highest ranked Black Sentinels seen outside of the Obsidian Keep, controlling Astra Telepathica forces and answering only to those of the Inquisition, the Adeptus Custodes, and the High Lords of Terra itself.

Warders
The guardians of the Obsidian Keep, Warders are rarely seen outside of its dark halls. Their Noctilith spears are the signature weapon of the Black Sentinels, the eerie black crystal head suppressing the warp energy of psykers. Dedicated to guarding the Keep, when deployed on a battlefield Warders are the natural counter to such enemies as Aeldari farseers and Chaos cultists.

Chastisers
Chastisers are deployed when the Inquisition or Adeptus Astra Telepathica find a rogue psyker of exceptional strength. Their Dominion shields are infused with shards of psychic-nullifying noctilith and armed with heavy shock mauls and short-pattern grenade launchers, they are a deadly foe.

Black Sentinels
Every Sentinel starts out in the guardian infantry squad. The basic Sentinel squad can be configured for a variety of roles, whether that is crewing a Black Ship armed with shotguns and shock batons or going on an elimination patrol equipped with bolters and sniper rifles.
