I would probably go for Dark Angels. I like the variety offered by the 3 wings, both in terms of painting and game play. You can almost build 3 armies in one.

Nemesis Chapter Ultramarines, after the HH Destroyer Chapter. They're really tickling my fancy lately!

Apart from that... Iron Hands. It's not the metal hands that do it for me, I'm one of the Iron Hands fans who likes their cold, uncompromising zeal. They'll gun down cowards as well as foes if they can. Also, Ferrus Manus gets a bad rap. He was overcome with emotion but was considered one of the big 3 pre-Heresy.

Last of the 3 is the Imperial Fists. They're yellow Ultramarines who like slightly bigger guns but it's Rogal Dorn who sways me over the most.

I'd opt for Corax (Raven Guard), Lion (Dark Angels, which is an army I own but is currently boxed up), Dorn (Crimson Fists), and ... The Emperor (Grey Knights)!

I'd go for Vulkan if the Blood Angels weren't an option. The Raven Guard seem pretty interesting too if I decided to choose them.

Imperium fanboy here, don't like too much divergence, despite the perks.

It would have to be Ultramarines, with White Scars as second choice because I dig their warfare style too.

If the space wolves weren’t an option I would probably be playing BA or DA because they were the only other codex supplements out at the time (3rd Ed). If choosing now and stuck with loyalist it would probably be Blood Angels. Or I would have stuck with my first army, World Eaters.

I play UM right now but if I had to change I would go Salamanders propably. Or White scars.
