I used the iron kin head from the infantry kit

Small update

Looking good! The only thing that detracts from this model is the residue  sprue plastic still attached to some parts. With a hobby knife and a file and some time you can have your models extra nice looking!

I also used not to bother because in the miniature they barely show unless you pick them up, but in photos they stick out like a sore thumb... since I started taking more photos of my miniatures, I started to be more careful with "clean up".

Is the non hammer arm supposed to be a shield? still not comfortable with the bits in this range. Love the helmeted versions. I will be doing the same.

Yeah, it's like the old SM combat shield as it has the combi-bolter underneath.
