I really wanted to lean into the ‘trans human terror’ the early Horus heresy books mentioned so much. That plus the Ian Miller and John Blanche illustrations from RT til 4th edition. Thanks very much. I painted these with oils and inks, so the weathering is a sort of natural effect of the technique. A very happy coincidence!
