LPetersson
I would love to get my hands on some Fenrisian Wolves, but I can't really find any appropriate modles. The closest I could find on GW's site was the Doom Wolf which isn't quite what I wanted. Well, or at least not at £7 per model  Which plastic models would you peeps recommend? Captain Malachi
I'm not sure how well it would work, but if you got the new chaos warhounds and removed the chaosy bitz, that might work, and you get ten for £12 I think. Edit- Just checked the price, it is £12. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1784115 Share on other sites
Dark Bjoern
The wolfs from the Goblin Wolf Riders are also very popular. But my personal favorite is this little pet for my Rune Priest. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x120/DarkBjoern/Space%20Wolves/FenrisWolfSizecomparison.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x120/DarkBjoern/Space%20Wolves/FenrisWolfWIP.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1784135 Share on other sites
LPetersson
Thanks to both of you :-) I'll look into both of those models when I'm next in a GW store... I love that pet by the way. Wolf89
There are many posts about what models to use for fenrisian wolf models and such, including here. I myself prefer the goblin wolf rider wolves, they're perfect to scale, and easy to attain. Vassakov
The new Chaos Wolves, definately. A bit of GS to cover the more mutated areas, 10 for £12 and you get a load of spares to boot. I'll PM a mod to get this added to the bitz section in the SW forum FAQ... I've built about 30 of these buggers so far and I still don't see fenrisian wolves coming out of them, no matter how much green stuff you add. The_Betrayed_Spacewolf
ah cheap (average price) and 3 complete units inside (10 wolf riders, 10 wolves, 10 goblins with arrows) they work wonders and if you want to add a few differences get the 2 packs of dire wolves and get some bigger meaner heads. Dark Bjoern
My pet is from Hell Dorado, a french tabletop system. I´ve got a local shop that sells them. Battlefield Berlin. Like you can see he´s close as large as a terminator. The perfect size for a Fenris Wolf. Grey Mage
I used some reaper warlord minis.... I forget exactly what they called them, I believe they were elven war dogs. Thats where my IC bodygaurd pair comes from. If I was doing 13nth co? Wolf Riders all the way man. stormwulfen
well i use the fenrisian wolves from the old leman russ model, but they are not on the GW site anymore so your best bet is ebay or somthing similar. or you could just buy the plastic wolves everyone else mentioned ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1787469 Share on other sites
Cammerz
I found an idea on Youtube where someone used wargs from the Lord of the Rings Warg riders box, 5 wargs and a bunch of little orc riders which can be discarded or used for something else, I don't know anyway, these are some big wolves and they look far more realistic than most of the stuff GW do Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1789893 Share on other sites
Wolf89
I found an idea on Youtube where someone used wargs from the Lord of the Rings Warg riders box, 5 wargs and a bunch of little orc riders which can be discarded or used for something else, I don't know anyway, these are some big wolves and they look far more realistic than most of the stuff GW do I'm sorry but I don't see how wargs are more realistic in any way than a goblin wolf rider wolf, also a fenrisian wolf model is more like a goblin wolf rider wolf than a warg, a warg doesn't even look like a wolf to begin with. ;) Also the scale is wrong for them... Trust me, the goblin wolf rider wolves are the way to go. Marek Grimfang
http://www.reapermini.com/graphics/gallery/4/02817_G.jpg This is a Moor Hound from Reaper Miniatures. The one arm/paw is movable to vary the pose. I have two of these that accompany my Wolf Lord. They are as big a a power armoured marine and suit being paired with terminator armoured characters. Wolf89
Nice model, but not as realistic, and it's also not citadel so it can't be played in any 40k tournaments legally. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1791540 Share on other sites
Bran Scalphunter
Marek, that would make an epic "uber-Wulfen" conversion. Like the Wulf that Ragnar killed as an aspirant, only even more powerful. *begins scrounging for cash to buy new Wolf toy* ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1792372 Share on other sites

AnarchX
Also, if you are near a Games Workshop, this weekend (Dec 6-7) is the Bizarre Bazaar. you can usually pick some up from Fantasy players for cheap. :whoops: Thanks, AnarchX Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153097-fenrisian-wolf-models/#findComment-1793527 Share on other sites
Growler67
Mongoose Publishing has some "DoomWolves" models, 2 per blister and just toss the riders. I've not bought these or used this vendor but Googling brough these up: http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/d/darkSwo...p;source=search http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/w/wizards...p;source=search Reaper has some interesting Dire wolf and other wolf models as well.
