D0dge
OK thought I had better start some work on this with about 6 weeks to go!! Especially as I am not the faster painter!! My vow is for a drop pod furioso (ironclad model) dreadnaught 5 man assault squad Mephiston Here are the 1st WIP shots of the drop pod http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/IMG_3334.jpg http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/IMG_3336.jpg http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/IMG_3337.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193102-lpc-d0dges-blood-angels/ Share on other sites
IronDuke
Very smooth looking drop pod so far, especially considering you are painting by hand. I currently have two of the sods taunting me waiting to be painted, and in all honesty I don't know where to begin! Keep it up. D0dge
OK a few more pic updates. First one is really washed out as I was trying to find a better way of shooting with my SLR. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/IMG_3365.jpg and one from the iPhone. Spent 2 1/2 hours last night painting the red strips down the side of the ramps. The iPhone doesn't really pick up the blending very well. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/746c3ae9.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193102-lpc-d0dges-blood-angels/#findComment-2296553 Share on other sites

IronDuke
Lovely clean drop pod, but maybe it is slightly too clean? I would add some streaks of grime down the side, but as it is its great. Oh, and be pleased to know you have shamed me into starting to paint my own drop pod...they take a while don't they?! D0dge
Thanks IronDuke, Yeah I am toying with the idea of dirtying it up a bit but have never really painted a great deal of battle damage and grime. I have an old rhino that I am going to practise on and then maybe come back and apply it to the drop pod. Yes I definitely agree they do take a while :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193102-lpc-d0dges-blood-angels/#findComment-2300844 Share on other sites
