Big Tanks

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've been a lurker for a while, just one or two post when I signed up.

Here are a few projects I've been working on for inquisitor and thought I would show these to a wider audience, though I really need to get these finished.

Rhino

Really impressive work! Clean cuts on the plasticard. No obvious glue spillage. Fantastic attention to detail.

How did you proportionally increase them? Did you use some form of template?

Have you got any plans to do a Land Raider?

Regards, Brother Morgan.

Tanks for the replies.

As requested I have a scale shot while I was making the mockup Rhino. Please forgive the fact they're not in power armour.

No template was used, just a good old fachions steel ruler and some patience. My little brother has been pestering me for ages to do a Landraider. A have had the urge to make a 54mm chaos dread. Have to wait and see if I eventually start it.

I wasn't sure what I was looking at to begin with. Then it hit me that you were scratch-building tanks, then I went back to your OP to figure out why. Figuring out these were Inquisitor scaled scratch builds blew me away! I felt like an idiot going back to look at the pictures again. This thread is full of amazing!

ok are you a machine???? these are just out of this world perfect. im blown away! i couldnt begin to tell you how amazing your models are, you sir rock something awesome!!! and you must be a mechanical engineer, i studied an GNVQ L2 applied Eng. (manufacturing) in 1993 so i have an eye for computer related stuff. ect. i would do the same but ive forgot how to use the program, havent used it since 2002, but i still have the books in the attic so if ever i want to even dream about attempting something this amazing i might just have to dig them out and sit and relearn everything. words arent suffucient to describe how awesome these models are and more importantly how awesome you are ~high fives you~

anyways suffice to say i have bookmarked your WIP thread ~grins~

catch you on the flipside

Thanks for all the support.

Lol I'm not a mechanical engineer (or any kind of engineer in fact), just someone with too much time on my hands. Nor is any of my work made with CAD or other computer software. All 100% hand made fun.

Some updates of my latest work.
