Wow, absolutely amazing! Love your painting style and the addition of trophies is really nicely done without the feeling of "look I put a head on the base"...

Just the right amount of bionics and servo arms, etc to get the Iron Warrios message across, with the older more experienced champions being more heavily mechanised than the normal brothers.

I love it, one of my favorite Chaos armies I've seen on B&C

Cheers!

Wow, everything is painted and converted to a very high standard!!

I really like how all the models have their 'gear' and don't look to busy...and I absolutely love the dead Templar markers and the rhino with the Ultramarine! Everything looks very brutal and very Chaos. Fantastic painting style too...

One day we will meet on the battle field and then we will see if you are truely 'iron' within when the Flesh Eaters tear you limb from limb :)

Until then, keep up the good work!

Wow IP your painting and converting has come on so much since you first joined the 4th GC forums! Nice to see you're carrying on, the conversions and modelling are really well thought out.

Think I might re-start Iron Warriors once the HH novel comes out...

Thanks everone

an army worth fighting (and crushing in the name of the Emperor!) you really dont like black templar. oh and then the one random ultramarine on the rhino lol.

Everone seem to keep saying this about the Black Templars :)

Just a note, I do not in any way hate Black Templars, far from it. There among my top armies being - Iron Warriors, Space Wolves & Black Templars. If a new Templar codex was release today I would more than happily go out & start a new force, collecting Templars is older than my Iron Warriors.

Reason why the Templars - Rememeber Black Templars are from the Imperial Fist second founding, which we all know Iron Warriors do not like Dorn. I already have yellow as my spot colour on the chainswords & armour loin cloths as well as a few helmet face plates. So to have another yellow, this case being the Marine power armour would over balance my models & the focuse would not be on the Iron Warriors or the base, but purely on the dead Imperial Fist.

Went with Templars are while there the yellow, it dose not really draw the attesion away.

It all about balance, not going over the top. When going to events, I want people to see the paint work & convert on my Iron Warriors, they need to see all the detail & conversion work. I do not want the first thing to be seen is dead Imperial Fist before check the overall models. Same with the Space Wolves, I went with dark colour but to draw focuse I use blue viking rune as my spot colour to draw that attesion to the models them selfs.

But as said Templar are among my favrout armies & I'd happily start a force if a new codex came out mainly due to most like get great new models with the way GW release a lot of kits over the years. As why the new IW down to all the new bits from the Blood Angels to the Grey Knights, offer so much freedom when it come to converting models so there not like the old 2nd ed Marines from the started box set.

The Ultramarine - That due to agies back, Graham McNeill like my Mk3? Iron Warriors which had a crusifed Ultramarine on the Predator tank. So ever time I made a new IW force I've added a crusifed Marine. Though with this one I would return to the Ultramarine & base it on the 4th Company, from Graham McNeill novel. Also it to wind up a Games Workshop Event team memeber who had collected Ultramarines, so when I go downt o Throne of Skulls events, I will show them the converted Rhino which always winds them up.

One day we will meet on the battle field and then we will see if you are truely 'iron' within when the Flesh Eaters tear you limb from limb

Don't know about that :P One of the recent armies I have been battle is Flesh Tearer & not loss so far ;) However past two games have seen terrible dice rolls. Thur saw me fail all my terrain dice rolls on double 1's to assault led to my own units being pick apart. Or a few hour ago when a unit of Terminators deep strike to rapid fire Combi Plasma into a Space Wolf Terminator unit, I only got one hit out of eight shots!!! Though could be worst, ToS April saw me fire ten lascannon shot in three turns & rolled nothing but 1's against Mech Guards. Maybe need to spill some blood in the name of Khorne to get the chaos gods back on my side when rolling dice.

Such a great looking army! I always get inspiration for my own IWs when i visit this thread. I love how brutal and appropriate the battle damage, trophies and gore is. This kind of detail and character is something that is really missing from my Chaos. Hopefully I can work to fix that.

Have you got any plans to expand the army any further? Maybe waiting for the new codex?

Have you got any plans to expand the army any further? Maybe waiting for the new codex?

I am converting up a unit of Fallen Angels & also recently started a Chaos Guard army. But beyound that, nothing really for the time being, I am waiting for the new "rumour" codex before I add anything.

One of the other reason for me bring my Iron Warriors back out in a brand new version so they are ready for the codex & why the move from the old GW Inks to the wash (shades), so when the rumour codex was out, I could happily keep adding onto my Iron Warriors with out any worry of running out of paints.

I am hopeing with the "rumour" codex chaos that there more freedom on the army list. By this I mean, I would like a army of all Terminators for exsample. Take my Space Wolves army they are over 3000pts with my tournament force & a Wolf wing force along with some extra converted up for other events from Wolf Priest, Lone Wolves, Wolf Guard Battle Leaders, then in the future I will be adding 1500pts of pure Wolves - Thunder Wolves & Fenris Wolves.

That & I will be looking into collecting other Legions as well, first one being Night Lords I think.
