Lord Arkhand
I had a load of khorne berserkers that needed painting so i found a really easy paint job and did them in bulk. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy001.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy002.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy003.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy004.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy005.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy007.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy008.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn201/Arkhand/KhorneArmy010.jpg This 1500pts army consists of: 2x 10 man khorne berserker squad with personal icons and champions with power fists, 1x 20 man khorne berserker squad with personal icon, two plasma pistols and champion with power fist defiler with twin lascannon and dreadnought close combat weapon. greater daemon 5x lesser daemons khorne lord in terminator armour with daemon weapon. in addition to the 1500 pts there is Khârn the betrayer. KfS
I think maybe putting a gloss finish on the blood would help differentiate it from the red armor/skin. To me, some of them have too much of the same red color going on. At least you have a full army painted though, I can't say the same for myself...haha. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155949-khorne-army/#findComment-1822069 Share on other sites
Lord-Commander Macarian
Well, it's a done army :P Seriously though they are very rushed, I'd get one of GW washes and wash them all to get some shading into them it's no effort really and it will improve the models greatly. still it's a done army, which is more than I can say :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155949-khorne-army/#findComment-1822090 Share on other sites
Lord Arkhand
i have about 7000 pts of chaos which is about 60% done, 2000 pts of tyranids - 75% done 3000pts orks - 30% done 5000pts space marines - 30 % done 1500pts necrons 90% done and 2000pts imperial guard in complete pieces... it was a real relief to get an army finished in about 2 weeks with this 4 step ( yes only 4!) scheme. thanks for comments the only thing i found disappointing was the blood being flat and looking wrong on the greater daemon's base. PS. who likes Khârn's base? i do. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155949-khorne-army/#findComment-1822100 Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
very nice minis but i'm not such a fan of the paint schemes. i like Khârn's base and the defiler hammer lol ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155949-khorne-army/#findComment-1822367 Share on other sites
Master Kashnizel
Yeah you should definately wash everything and maybe fix a few things. Other than that they look cool. Liltom
Gloss. Washes. Do them. They would turn a sub-par army into a decent one. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155949-khorne-army/#findComment-1824042 Share on other sites
Metal Fingered Villain
Should get your hands on some tamiya clear red and some black india ink, mix a little black ink with the tamiya clear red and blob it on, let it sit for a few minutes then go back with a rough old mangled brush and stipple the pools of gore, it gets all rough and goopy like real gore and stays real shiney and slick too.
