Brother Morgan
As per usual, I cannot finish one project before I have to start another! I have the painting bug back after a 6 year absence and have therefore put the Imperial Outpost to one side and started this blog. Over the past 25 years, I have been trying to get at least one each of every metal Rogue Trader Space Marine released. Thanks to the wonders of ebay, I have around 5 left to get. Whilst keeping an eye on the web, in the meantime, I want to try and paint each of these heirlooms! Here's a link to a great website, showing all the different older models: Stuff of Legends Here are some of the marines in varying painting stages: http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/P1030519.jpg Wounded Brother http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/P1030520.jpg 2 Dead Brothers http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/P1030521.jpg The next 5 Brothers to be painted. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/20110801_265.jpg 2 Officer Brothers http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/20110801_38.jpg 4 Finished Brothers all with Terminator Honours http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/20110801_275.jpg 2 Brother Techmarines http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/20110801_274.jpg Brother Apothecary and Servitor http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/P1030522.jpg One case of Space Marines to start/finish!!! http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/philmorgan75/P1030523.jpg One case of Devastators to go!! Brother Cambrius
Really nice stuff B. Morgan! Nice to see some miniatures of old (they're older than me some of them...) being given fresh paint and are still being loved. I have a few old RT models myself icnluding the Marine with Bolter 5 unpainted, and the old classic Metal Dreadnought still to be re-painted after cleansing the thick paintjob on it. It feels weird working on some models that are as old or older than me... Looking forwards to seeing how these guys progress Brother! Lachdannan
Big fan of the older RT marines, and you have painted them very well. Will look forward to this blog! Circus Nurgling
Your paint style works really well on these minis. I quite a few of the RT chaos marines, to include the old dreadnought. Some flavorful models in there to be sure. MordentHex
This is beyond awesome! I have a few of those models myself, and love every one of them. There is something about the old models that the new ones can never replace. I see afew simple conversions in there too! keep it up!
