The speed at which you paint this miniatures to such a good standard is amazing.

 

I really like all the old miniatures representing classic book characters, it's a great idea and much closer to what initially inspired the authors than any new and flashy conersion would be.

 

I'm really looking forward to your Ravenor. I've seen some conversions for him but none that really fit my mental image of him.

 

I'll be following your thread much closer from now on!

I like that artist on Devant Art "Aerion The Faithful" he did a redition of the chair that I will use as a starting point.

That will be a plasticard project,maybe even do two a standard and one with twin psycannons poking out the sides.

If I am really good I can do both with the same model.

Glue magnets to the inside,and on cannons should fit right on.

Just gotta wait for a nice rainy day where I'd rather model than paint.

Still trying to find a better model for Nayl.

I picked up old oop Van Sars that look great but as you can see from the model for Nayl currently they are older scuplts and a hair slighter.

Nayl is a big guy and now that I modeled Zeph no way can I use the current model.

I am loving this conversion of Zeph Mathuin using a after market chaingun and scum model.

I think the chaingun came from a reaper model that looked just like a Delaque.

I used the gun and feed and clip from a chaos autocannon as the ammo hopper.

I'd recommend not painting the hoods white... the first thought that popped into my head when seeing them was KKK and I'm pretty sure that's not what you're trying to get across :confused:

They are not white but two-toned

One side Black and the other White just like the cookie.

And there is nothing as non racial as a Black and White cookie the nirvanna of cookies

Zeph Mathuin came out awesome, almost exactly as I pictured him. I'm a such a fanboy of this thread now :lol:

I needed a change of pace,felt like doing 6th edition terrain.

I picked up a Blastscape and Statue

The Blastscape is neat,This will probally be My Mysterious Terrain.

Never know what is hiding in that Rhino shell could be a unexploded ordinace could be a Psychneuein hive,never know.

The the trees can also count as Mysterious,so a Blastscape can have two different rules possibly.

I went with the Dark Angels as the unfortunate victim for a couple of reasons.

Black is nice and neutral,with the Black Armor Red Chapter badge this could possibly remains of the Fallen

I used a fallen marine to add some bling,totally goes with this model.

Which also makes it a cool objective for Hunt the Fallen

The backstory to this piece is they took a hit and the Captain ate it.

A couple of Brothers got out but had to leave fast(as if they were being chased)

And took the relic banner off of the Captains backpack.

They also emptied a crate for ammo
