[Commission/Golden Demon] 'Hunting Bigger Game'

Recommended Posts

Just about ready to paint now. This has been brewing a while. There is a LOT of reinforcement in that titan (and yes, it is entirely supported by that back leg).

To clarify - I was commissioned to do this piece with a pretty open spec ('Guard, 'Nids, Big ol' honkin' titan), it's being entered under my name in GDUK. Not sure if diorama or open yet. :-)

looking very good ;)

one tiny nitpick though, in the sideshot of the titan the banner on his back has a different angle than the rest of the banners. i just think they should be blown the same way to support the realism of the model.

can't wait to see it painted!

this is an insanely good idea for a diorama. this will surely do well, the idea is great and you have executed it well. it must have taken a lot to support that titan. a guy i used to know bought the FW rogue trader era land raider and that was a solid block of resin, so heavy!

good work!

I've actually run out of gaunts, but I probably wouldn't anyway; part of what I want in the piece is that the scene unfolding under the titan as it moves off is completely irrelevant to it; the Titan has a higher priority target. Having gaunts on it might imply that it may need to do something about that.

True.

And that is just what "bugs" me: he's too clean, to distant from the fray below.

Lets face it: what are the chances of a gaunt doind anything on a Titan? 0

But a bit of "stuck your foot on an ants nest and naw they are all rabib, crawlling all over the place".

Just ideas... :(

Groundwork painted. Small models just placed back on to help with where to put foliage, tufts, brass etch etc. The 'nid side' of the diorama will be significantly overgrown, jungle-esque, whereas the ruins will be in the process of being reclaimed by hyperactive plant growth.
