cassar
Here's a blast from the past this terminator project got placed firmly on the back burner, however doing work for others is all well and good but i have decided to potter about with this project as i go along with comission work to try and keep my enthusiasm up. I have started by ripping the dung clean out of the terminator torso and replacing the vents (woefully bad) and i re did this arm power cables, skull and the power claws. Will post stuff randomly whenever i get a chance to do a bit. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/008-23.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/014-10.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/009-22.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/016-7.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264618-dave-the-ultramarine/ Share on other sites

cassar
Heres some updates i have added armour plating to the left shoulder and i amaltering the leg position so that the right arm looks organic and natural in the"haymaker" pose i am thinking also of doing a nid type base battle of Mccraggestyle.http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/009_zpsb5463ac9.jpghttp://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/006_zpsd51ce541.jpghttp://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/008_zpsa73a3a0e.jpghttp://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/009_zpsb5463ac9.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264618-dave-the-ultramarine/#findComment-3310202 Share on other sites
Vash113
Spectacular work, simply spectacular. I particularly like the Crux Terminatus, maybe not the most complicated piece of the model so far but the detail really stands out. What gave you the idea for this project and what are you thinking about doing with it when finished? Like is it going to be a painted up display piece or are you considering making molds of this guy? Lastly are you still going to include the chained on shield with the Ultramarines U on it? I thought that looked great, but maybe that's just me. cassar
Yep Vash113 he will eventually have all his bling as well as a cloak of some kind, i havent a clue when i will get around to finishing him though as every time i take him out of his box another comission seems to get in the way. The_Chaplain
I have to echo Vash's sentiments, I really dig the chained on shield and the amount of effort that has gone into the crux terminatus. This is a truly impressive project- thank you for posting it here on the b&c for us to gawk at! cassar
Im very flatterd that he's going down well with the Patrons here, as to the reason for him being an Ultra Smurf well......when i innitially started to build him the smurfs were sort of "in vogue" now popular opinion has moved on to the Space Wolves, Blood and Dark angels i suppose i could always change the insignia....? cassar
Back to Dave i have set asides some me time and am going to try and do as much as i possibly can, I have done the fingers on the right hand and the fine detailing of that power fist, redone the boots and started in on the legs plus a little fine carving of the skull on the shoulder pauldron. The legs are going to get re designed too. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/036-4_zps66ba98ca.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/037-5_zps5dd5866e.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/038-4_zpsfdefbf28.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/039-4_zps401e5eb6.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/040-5_zps55cfde2c.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/042-3_zps603f5899.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/045-2_zpsc1e47635.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu323/cassar1photos/047-3_zpsb9523733.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264618-dave-the-ultramarine/#findComment-3359391 Share on other sites
