Alternate Bloodthirster Axe

I am in the process of converting a Balrog model into a Bloodthirster. The Lash of Khorne is covered by the Balrog's whip, however, I have been looking for a suitable weapon to serve as the Axe of Khorne... preferably one that I can order by itself as a bit without having to purchase an entire model. The forgeworld axes below are great, but I didn't see any pieced out on ebay and don't want to spend $100 just for an axe.

Does anyone know of an alternate bloodthirster/daemon prince sized axe bit from a 3rd party manufacturer? I searched around several of the usual alternate bits sites (pig iron, hitech, maxmini, puppetswar, etc) but to no avail. Most bits are for IG/SM size models, not monstrous creatures.

Worst case, I can scratch build one, but pre-cast is usually better to get a nice detailed weapon. Thanks!

If you get the plastic Daemon Prince it includes a axe. I used a spare my friend had to make a khorne daemon weapon for a lord I made. It would work well on a Balrog (I also have one of those I made into a Daemon Prince)

Sorry, I've looked through all of my 3rd party links and can't find any at the right scale.

I'm planning a similar conversion using a couple of Daemon Prince axes, if that helps any.

The first axe you posted is a heresy miniature axe. I bought one about 4 years ago (at least) it's a stunning axe when you see it in person but its big and it's metal. I first planed to use it on a lord I was building but the axe was bigger than the model. I still think its be a tad chunky for dp but if you could counter balance the weight and have him gripping it in both hands I'm sure it would look great.

The Heresy Miniatures axe is one of the first ones I looked for. I can't find it on their website anymore, and didn't see any available on ebay. Might be out of print.

As for the default daemon prince axe, I think it looks too plain jane and small.

Might have to resort to scratch built.

Looked around Mierce Miniatures website. Looks like you can buy parts (weapons, wings etc) separately from entire models.

Model that I might get the axe from (60mm base):

Alternate Bloodthirster I might have to pick up (fits on the big flyer 120mm base)... could also use the axe from this guy, but might be too big.

Phwoar, I had completely forgotten about Mierce Minis. Those are way too cool - I've bookmarked them for future use, that's for sure!

...Screw it, I'm getting a whole bunch of bitz from them now.
