Tzen
With the awesome Death Watch stuff being released next weekend I thought I'd share my old Artemis model with you all. Now, I know I know, It's painted as a (very bright) ultramarine. But you will have to forgive my childish enthusiasm from back when this miniature was released, and look past the unfinished model and the blu-tac holding it together. http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/artemis1.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/artemis2.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/artemis3.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/artemis4.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Artemiscomp.jpg My plan was to paint a young Marneus Calgar during his Death Watch years (I have no idea if that ever happened). Sadly I haven't touched this model for about 10 years, and that was to show someone. I painted this 15 to 16 years ago? Maybe I will paint it "properly" some time soon! DavianCool
Beautiful highlighting. Great work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4461199 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
Man, I forgot how weedy his legs are. Even 15 years ago, that's probably better than I can paint now. Brother Tyler
I'm moving this to the WIP forum since it is currently unfinished (and apparently due for new paint soon). I look forward to seeing the completed work. Olis
Tzen + a 54mm Artemis? Yes please! I would dearly love to see you smash this one out of the park, brother. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4461474 Share on other sites
KrautScientist
Looking excellent, even in his unfinished stage! What are you waiting for, though? Go ahead and finish him! It would be a shame to leave an OOP model like that sitting in a box two thirds completed! Tzen
This really was just a fun look back at the model. He needs a complete overhaul! I have a BAJILLION other projects I should really be focusing on before this guy... :/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4462113 Share on other sites
Tzen
As an aside. If I was to repaint this, should I stick to the Ultramarines scheme, or go Deathwatch? Olis
I think, given the current developments from GW, a DW colour scheme sounds like just the ticket. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4462432 Share on other sites
That Guy Matt
He looks excellent. That blue armour is great. I have one of these around somewhere too, Mine's painted gold and not nearly so well. jeremy1391
I'd go full deathwatch! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4462923 Share on other sites

Tzen
Haha, I don't think I'd ever do that! :D Although I guess my daemon prince is already kinda a Word Bearer equivalent! KrautScientist
Haha, I don't think I'd ever do that! Chicken! ;) But yes, good point, actually: The Juan Diaz Daemon Prince might even work at the INQ28 scale and make for a convincing opponent for "Ultra-Artemis" in a glamour shot. Just sayin'... sockwithaticket
I'd echo Jeremy, full Deathwatch. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324570-inquisitor-scale-artemis-model/#findComment-4467195 Share on other sites
