Jakeball74
Hi, Anyone have or seen any of these models in the flesh? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/ Share on other sites
WarriorFish
It has come up before, some have the model who might be able to pitch in. If it helps here's some scale shots: Here's some I found with a Macharius and Russ for comparison. ranulf the revenant, Kriegsmacht and Kassill 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5500129 Share on other sites

calgar101
They do look really nice. I'm thinking of buying 1-3 myself but resin makes me nervous. They are great alternatives to Leman Russ tanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5500389 Share on other sites
Jakeball74
I really like the troop transport Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5500610 Share on other sites
Colonel Cross
I really love these models, it is a shame they are basically in between sizes to be accurate "counts as" for several IG tanks. Marshal_von_Speer
I own three of them. Assembling them was quite an effort, but this was mostly due to my lack of experience with resin models. Overall the models are good quality and you get a ton of weapon options. I only have this crappy picture unfortunately: duz_, Warhead01 and Kassill 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5504852 Share on other sites
calgar101
Very nice! When you got the tanks, how good a condition was the resin? Any major warping? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5505135 Share on other sites
Marshal_von_Speer
Very nice! When you got the tanks, how good a condition was the resin? Any major warping? I had to adjust some of the parts using hot water. This turned out to be easier than I first thought. The degree of detail is very high, although some intense cleaning might be required. The weapon options can fairly easily be swapped, even without magnets. I only magnetized the turretweapon and the sponsons. Here is an article, which gives a nice overwiev. It's in german but I guess the pictures matter most: https://www.magabotato.de/2019/09/review-mortian-battle-tank/ Edited April 12, 2020 by Marshal_von_Speer Warhead01 and 4CIN87 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5505231 Share on other sites

Bjorn Firewalker
The camouflage pattern on the tanks is well done. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5506439 Share on other sites

Bjorn Firewalker
Great job on the Basilisk! Did its enclosed crew compartment come from Forge World, a third party, or did you kitbash it? GreenScorpion
Great job on the Basilisk! Did its enclosed crew compartment come from Forge World, a third party, or did you kitbash it? Marshall_von_Speer was actually referring that the Mortian shop has that basilisk proxy available: https://mortian.shop/product/medium-tank-artillery-chassis/ (body) https://mortian.shop/product/medium-tank-artillery-gun/ (cannons) Bjorn Firewalker 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5536682 Share on other sites

GreenScorpion
@duz_ The body of this tank seems to be roughly the same size as the medium tank from the pictures above. Actual dimensions from the website: length: 16cm / 6,3″ width: 8cm / 3″ height: 4,5cm / 1,7″ I don't own any basilisk, but I guess this would be too big for a direct proxy. According to some measurements I found, this would be the basilisk and leman russ for reference: Leman Russ 11cm/4.3" 8cm/3.1" 7.5cm/3" Basilisk 11.5cm/4.5" 9cm/3.5" 4.5cm/1.8" So it is about the same width and height but it is almost 50% longer. TheTrans
I used one of his Super Heavy Warcrawlers for my Dark Mech Ordinatus, his stuff is pretty stellar. I have a pair of the smaller walkers on the way as well as about 40 of his drop troops. 4CIN87, Kassill, Warhead01 and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362966-mortian-tanks/#findComment-5546248 Share on other sites
