(Mods, please move this if it's in the wrong forum!)

So one of my other hobbies aside from sticking together plastic monsters is drawing. I've always liked doodling, and as it happens I'm even doing a uni course in illustration. So, naturally I have a few 40K drawing projects on the go. As such, I thought it would be nice to share some of that art with you guys!

My first love has always been Tyranids; I've actually gotten slightly addicted to drawing them recently, and have been posting the sketches on Instagram. I can't actually post them directly here thanks to the way IG works, but what I can do is shamelessly plug my page.

Those are mostly pencil drawings, but I'm trying to get myself used to working digitally. So, here's a few digital works I've done/am doing. First up is one you've already seen, and one of my earlier works; the fungus fanatic and snarky-yet-adorable witch Sucy Manbavaran reimagined as an Inquisitorial acolyte, Sucia of the genetor dynasty of House Mamba:

Whilst it came out a bit more cartoony than I was originally intending, and my inexperience definitely shows, I'm still quite pleased with the general design and kind of want to make her into a model some day.

One I'm far more proud of is this Tzeentchian thing, somewhat (OK, heavily) inspired by John Blanche's depiction of the Changeling. It's not meant to be the Changeling himself, but rather a Herald who obviously took a fancy to his spooky robe.

This was very much an experiment with messing about with different brush tools, but nonetheless I do like how it ended up. Though it perhaps looks a bit more Nighthaunt than Tzeentch with those colours. Oh well.

Finally is a WIP piece currently still in the sketch phase- a Plague Sister of the Order of the Rotten Heart. I wanted to make her look appropriately horrific for a Nurgle-corrupted Sororitas, hence the deformed arm, club foot and the fungal sprouts erupting from her body (I'm particularly fond of/disturbed by the cluster growing from her eye).

It's probably going to take a while to translate into the coloured artwork I want it to be though, as I'm fairly inexperienced at digital painting; the Tzeentch herald was pretty much a blob, so he got off lightly, and I tend to think in lines, if that makes sense. We'll see anyway.
