Ekim_Trub
Disappointed in the colour scheme, just doesn't fit the Legion aesthetic imo. And, iirc, no mention of them differing in colour from the rest of the Legion has ever been mentioned. (Leaving them grey eould have been cooler!) phandaal
Where do those chain axes come from? Are they a normal part of the Cataphractii kit? Back to top
Aztek
"Now we’ve announced the upcoming edition of the Horus Heresy game, players will be pleased to note that all of the Exemplary Battles units we’ve published in this series will have their profiles updated to work with the new rules – stay tuned for more, but rest assured they will remain usable. In fact, they were all written for the new edition and then reverse-engineered to fit the current one – it’s almost like we had a plan all along…"Hallelu:cussingjah! The Observer
Yeah I imagined the deliverers to look a lot of different ways but this is not one of them. Back to top
Jareddm
I'm happy to see more color scheme diversity within legion. They're certainly a holdover from XIXth Legion days, and probably the Luna Wolves encouraged a little more flair than they normally would've. SkimaskMohawk
I'm really happy theyre keeping the exemplary battle units and not doing a bait and switch. The deliverers rules are clearly written with 2nd in mind; the instant death threshold mechanic is a usr called battle-hardened (one that Abaddon has). But their role is really odd. If you build them purely for deepstrike blasting, then theyre limited to anti infantry with their melee. You can tech into a bit more versatility with talons, but you lose that shooting punch. Keep these guys right away from dreads that you can't pop. Back to top
Biscuittzz
You don't have to paint them red........ Back to top
tinpact
Hmm. They might look good using Justaerin as a base. I think I'd want to add more talismans and such. Back to top
Iron Hands Fanatic
nice to see the deliverers get some attention, maybe at some point we'll get some dedicated minis/ upgrades for em', they've got so much potential for interesting designsI even ended up doing some concept are for em' back in 2016: Back to top

Beren
They may never have been described as red before, but there is a tenuous link in the fact that they're supposed to be largely terran iirc, as where the Ashen Claws who also used red in their colours. Ekim_Trub
Think the red armour just came as a surprise, and unfortunately, doesn't make them seem unique but instead imitations of the BA's or WB's termies. Back to top

Spagunk
Counterpoint: being red sets them apart from the legion because they aren't exactly pals with the legion that is run by the Primarch? Like the red is such a minor issue in my eyes since they're essentially blackshields that haven't "cut the cord" as it were. jaxom
The color scheme makes a lot of sense when you compare them to Justaerin. They’re the inverse; red dominant and black touches. One even has a half-moon marking on the knee. Back to top

One even has a half-moon marking on the knee. While this idea is pretty cool, that ‘half moon’ icon is one of the main icons on the RG transfer sheet, so I don’t think it’s related to the SoH (or Luna Wolves) like that. Edit: Ninjad. Cactus
There's a second painted squad in the document that looks less like Thousand Sons or Word Bearers. Still predominantly red but less in-your-face. Back to top
