  1. No Create your Warband and NO Super Doctrines. My Hype is over...... Chosen are useless, no super docts, no create your warband. Everyone will Spam possesed until they get nerfed. At least Cultist get obsec. Was hoping to use my 2 Black legion Decimators in Super Doctrine for extra hits on 5+, no they remain useless :(
  2. Dude...... look a few Posts up.
  3. I've written it before. But the Soul burner petard of the decimators is an assault weapon
  4. Yeah all -1 AP stuff vs marines is decreased by 33% vs terminator 50%
  5. @Toldavf DG has the new Defiler since their 9th Edition codex. It's cool.
  6. Death Guard just rocked the lowest win rate of a competition last weekend at 30.65%. You're barking up the wrong tree, your codex will do circles around them... Even the current CSM codex did better. https://www.goonhammer.com/competitive-innovations-in-9th-joker-mode-pt-1/ Complaining about wargear restrictions is completely valid, specially if you have to redo models. Claiming the codex is going to suck based off some leaks that you have no idea if they are true or not, won't know what makes it into the codex and is only part of a bigger picture is stupid. Yes, maybe you are right. I play against Death Guard a lot and I find them extremely strong compared to other marines. My Black Legion army is still under construction, but I worked extra so that everything is possible and magnetized all 15 terminators ;)
  7. @sersi Compare our terminators or marines with those of the deathguard. Ridiculous, the costs will naturally not differ much.
  8. @desuvult You're absolutely right. If you then compare us with the deathguard you will feel sick. Their models have t5 instead of t4 and additionally -1 damage. The Bolters shoot at 24 inches in rapid fire and they have real melee terminators. Oh yes, posessed they have too. For long range/indirect fire they have the crawler. I can't think of anything where we could outdo them. Even the normal marines are absolutely superior to ours they are even better at melee combat than our terminator. Chosen have no real place, not good in melee combat, not good in ranged combat, but both somehow medium-good , and that's exactly what is not useful in the 9th edition I'm afraid this will be a very, very sad codex. And that after all this time...
  9. BL Decimator with Soulburner has Assault Weapons with Exploding 5s sounds really nice, i like the model as well
  10. oh yeah, would be awesome :)
  11. so you think because normal CSM legionnaires can use them, Chosen can too? Makes no sense to me. < Dr. Ruminahui - deleted needlessly repetitive and provocative text >
  12. what makes you think that chosen one can carry heavy weapons? Chosen (5-10) 3w Stat wise similar to CSM troops (6'' S4 T4 3+/no invul) WS 3+/BS 3+/ 3A (champion 4a) can take icon Gain gain an additional trait that you can choose, this trait is one of traits from the list of build a warband traits Loadout: everyone comes with a bolter, bolt pistol and accursed weapon (S+1 ap3 d1; +1A) 2 per 5 chosen can replace their bolt pistol with a plasma pistol 2 per 5 chosen can replace their bolter with a combi-weapon 1 per 5 chosen can replace their bolter with an additional accursed weapon (S+1 ap3 d1; +1A)
  13. Based on the rumors, Chaos does appear to be outclassed. Specifically, I'm not seeing any effective counters to Custodes, Orks, Dark Eldar and Mechanicus. Daemon Engines and mid-range PA infantry with exploding attacks are not the answer to these factions. There's a very real possibility CSM end up in a worse spot with the 9th edition Codex. Then again, I was saying the same thing about Deathwatch. Despite a cold reception at the time the Codex was released, they've performed very well for me in 9th edition. Some facts that bear repeating: the game is 5 turns, primaries and secondaries matter more than kill points, and tables are shorter. We have very little insight into how well CSM will perform in these areas and will not until we see the actual Codex. Much of their success will rest on Stratagems and interaction between different units, and there's not much discussion of these aspects in this rumor thread. I play Orks and Deathwatch, I'm extremely disappointed with both codices (except Speedmob). If it's similar with the CSM Codex, maybe it's my fault :D Yes, of course we have to wait and see what synergies there are. Stratagems can do a lot, Orcs and Deathwatch Stratagems are mostly junk.
  14. Yes, that's exactly what I think. The new rules are nice but where are our railguns? Where are our ignoring invul weapons? Where are our luck dices? We also need more vehicles/demon machines that stand out from those of the ts or dg. Everything we have, they have too. Even our iconic land raiders, predators are worse than those of the thousand sons (5++).there is nothing that makes us unique. Wow we have now chosen ...
  15. I'm not surprised with the jump lord going away. I look at the Primaris Line and then at these leaks, Primaris lack a jump HQ so apparently GW things Chaos should too. I could be wrong, but that's how I interpret things. Also, wasn't there a rumor or a statement going around where GW said they were going to cut cultists back for CSM because CSM should be a marine army, not a cultist army? If so, it doesn't look like they meant it Maybe we get the same limitations as DG? 1 Cultist Unit per Heretic Astartes Unit?
