Ha ha, had a similar experience when I was cleaning out the closet today. :D "Oh, I had totally forgot about those speeders and attack bikes!" I also managed to put together 2 heavy flamer marines, then I realized that they were both equipped with the sternguard version. Which is odd considering that I've only bought one BA tac and one Sterguard box. I later found the BA heavy flamer in my bitsbox but I have no clue from where or when that extra SG flamer is from....

Speaking of devs, went through my bitzbox today and discovered I could field an entire devastator company... Wanna guess how many of those that are actually assembled? 15 missiles launchers 12 Heavy bolters 9 multimeltas 4 plasma cannons 7 Lascannons 2 gravcannons 49 heavy weapons Assembled: 14 Painted : 9 Actually painted in my current paint scheme : 0

Just dedicate an afternoon and do it. It's what I had to do to finally get my caestus together. Don't look to hard at the imperfections either, it's going to look great when it's done and if it's anything like other older FW kits trying to get it perfect will drive you nuts (and perfect will never happen). I get cold sweats just thinking of all the pinning and epoxy fumes :D I don't miss the old days of mostly metal models when everything had to be pinned...

Day one quick summary: Spanked IG and Nurgle daemons. Narrowly lost vs eldar on KPs, but mostly due to the game being cut short on turn 4.

Tourney in the morning, painting last models now... Sleep is over rated. This is the list I'm taking: Chaplain Lib Dread (yes I'll use Daemonology) Dread, TLAC + TLLC Dread, TLAC + TLLC 9 * Death Company, 2 fists Scout squad, cloaks, sniper rifles Scout squad, cloaks, sniper rifles, hell fire HB Caestus Assault Ram, Legacy of glory: Battle of Keylek Storm Raven Gunship, TLMM, TLAC Culexus temple Assassin 2 * Vengeance Batteries, battle cannons Lots of funky tricks with the assassin and the ram. My very solid plan for dealing with super heavies is summoning Daemonettes or Plague Bearers...

Painted up a test model for Knights of Blood tactical terminators. Going with the standard scheme left me with too much silver on the termies so I added red to the shin guards. http://i.imgur.com/kJQMaDs.jpg?2 I was going to give the eye-lenses a greenish glaze, but I really like how they pop with just pure white. It's noticeable even from across the table.

Today I ran a 2k list with a Librarian dread.... and Malefic daemonology http://i.imgur.com/OOJShpK.jpg Indeed! But it was quite fun :D I got the idea because the lib dread ignores several of the negative effects from that psychic school, and I also brought along to a tech marine to repair hull points from the inevitable perils. Worked out ok, despite some horrible luck rolling warp charge I managed to bring in 20 daemonettes which gave me some extra VPs and a bit of killyness/meatshields. Lucked out on the perils though and rolled 3/4 'good' results, you know the one that gives you fleshbane, armorbane and a 3+ invul. Made the dread very nasty in combat. In the future I'll gladly use this again when appropriate. Probably wouldn't take more than one power from Daemonology (Either primaris or the herald summon) and save the second power for 'the quickening' from the BA set. 8/10 will play again
