  1. Loving that purple there @Grotsmasha on the cloak. Purple is my favourite colour but I've never been overly good at painting it. And that blue @gaurdian31 is amazing. I haven't even got one squad finished yet so I am highly unlikely to get everything done by the end but I am going to give it a red hot crack. It doesn't help that I got an army that has vast amounts of edge highlighting as that is an area I am trying to improve on. Oh, and that I am also attempting to build a shed at the same time so free time is a premium. Still its not the completion that is everything in the March, its the effort to try. I'll try and get a pic up later but how is everyone else doing?
  2. This year is just not going to plan for me... I, Brother Argent, vow to complete the ten pathfinders I started last month at sometime this April...
  3. UPDATE #1 Sorry for the delay on this guys. Things have been... interesting. So... A challenge update; With only half as many challengers this year to last (6 this year to last years 12) I'm expecting big things from all of you. As much to make up for my own failings... With my own lack of updating here as well as how quiet things have been (another thing I blame on myself, as I was hoping to keep the life going in the challenge) I have decided to extend the deadline for the challenge. The March will now finish at mifnight on the 25th of April. This addition of just over a week will include the Easter Long Weekend for those that get it so hopefully we will get some last minute completions. For the updates we have had we have seen some beautiful Phobos marines from @Grotsmasha. And with @Deus_Ex_Machina also tackling the First Legion it seems to be the year of the sons of the Lion. Good to see @TheArtilleryman returning this year. Hopefully he can succeed at the Guard where I failed. Nice to see a legacy patrol from @Bob Fossil and I was very close to trying to tackle the modern combat patrol like @gaurdian31. All in all hopefully some promising projects in the works. Hope to see some update and progress pics in the thread soon. With only six lets see if we can get an 100% completion on this years MARCH!
  4. Apologies everyone. Poor health yesterday and out fire fighting today has meant the update will be somewhat delayed. Keep up the awesome work.
  5. Some impressive progress already here guys. Makes my five guys I've almost finished look pitiful in comparisson . I'm hoping to get a personal progress update tomorrow as well as an event update. But its good to see the work you guys are doing. I might be the only one to fail this year
  6. I finished these about a week ago, but forgot to post my progress. Anyway, I have finally completed last years March for March army: Unfortunately missing transfers as the sheet has gone walk abouts but eh, once I find it I'll battle damage then as well. But for now they are done. So... half a month down and way way way behind where I want to be I thought I'll make this a big double whammy. I, Brother Argent, vow to complete 10x Tau Pathfinders and their accompanying drone as both the start of my March for March 2025 as well as the Knives in the Shadows Kill team event.
  7. I, Brother Argent, vow to complete one Kill Team of Tau Pathfinders (unamed as of yet Sept), to be fully painted and based by the 31st May 2025, and to provide at least minimal fluff/background for them. May the Great Procrastinatrix, Devourer of Motivation and Good Intentions, curse me to darkness and ruination should I fail! Hopefully I'll get these and another couple of teams done by the Challenges end. Not sure how converted they will be but will see how I go.
  8. Brother Argent's gallery for all models completed for the 2024 12MoH
  9. I, Brother Argent vow to embrace my madness and complete a Modern Madness of Tau of an as yet unamed Sept by the 15/4 and vow to share my madness with others as I March for March Well I promised myself I wouldn't but any new models. That I would make up something from what I already had. So... yeah.... that didn't work... Decided I want to try to practice and greatly improve me edge highlighting so, what better way to do it then with these guys. Of course I've likely bitten off far more then I can complete again but eh, when have I ever actually completed one of these over the top challenges of mine. As a side note I did realise that I have people until yesterday my time to sign up but, as I've already missed my own goal post here, I'll give everyone or anyone else interested another 24hrs. Hopefully we get some last minute entries. Good luck everyone, and have fun.
  10. Close enough is good enough Grot. After all the size/points of Combat Patrols vary wildly. As long as its close (within a hundred points or so but the closer the better) then I'll allow it. The March is mostly about fun and pushing yourself. And judging by what you have been cranking out recently and the rate, I reckon you could handle it.
  11. Any last minute takers on this? I'll get my own vow up later on but surely there are a few more willling to embrace the madness?
  12. I most certainly did. Felt it was the most appropriate banner I could think of. So get working on next years banner.
  13. It wasn’t last year. And I’m happy to waiver it this year. Assembled and even primed can count, but bonus imaginary points if it is from scratch.
  14. If it doesn't match either of the Combat Patrol generations (which I don't think it can) it can still count as an Outlandish Madness (approx 500 pts) so it would work if you want to make a vow.
  15. Good day Brothers and Sisters of the B&C. I told you it was coming, albeit it a week or so late. Its that time again, time for the March for March 2025. For those interested, here is a link to last years March The March has undergone a few changes this year, including the how, whats and whyfores. And perhaps a little of the maybes. I've removed the battle report pat out as no one really did that last year, and added a bit more structure to hopefully make things easier on me, a more joyously mad and successful event for everyone else. So, lets embrace the madness once again and get down business. What is the Challenge exactly? I hear you ask. I maybe thats just the voices in my head. No matter. Last year I was trying to paint a Combat Patrol Box set in a month. I failed horribly. So this year I am encouraging you all to do the same (failing part optional, of course) I challenge people to either take on one or more of the following tasks: > Challenge the First (A Modern Madness): - Assemble, paint to your standard and base one of the current Combat Patrol Boxes > Challenge the Second (A Legacy of Madness) - Assemble, paint to your standard and base one of the previous Combat Patrol Boxes > Challenge the Third (An Outlandish Madness) - Assemble, paint to your standard and base approximately 500 pts of a chosen force. Regardless of the challenge you take post progress and final pictures in this thread. Because we are already into the month and a challenge like this probably takes some fore thought and planning (unless your name is Brother Argent...) the challenge this year will have a sign up/preperation period of roughly a week, give or take a day with people then having a month from that point to finish their vow. Please note I wont play hard and fast with these times, but close enough could be. So how do I participate? So, to embrace this madness all you need to is post the following here "I, <insert name here> vow to embrace my madness and complete <insert Brand of Madness/Challenge here> of <insert faction here (eg. Ultramarines, World Eaters, Hive Fleet Wet Noodle etc.)> by the 15/4 and vow to share my madness with others as I March for March!" Provide a before pic in this thread. And a unit break down if you want. But no need if not, this is a casual thing after all. So, join me (or not) on my mad MARCH FOR MARCH! The Ranks of the Mad Marchers Deus_Ex_Machina - An Outlandish Madness - The Fallen (Adeptus Astartes): VOW - COMPLETION gaurdian31 - A Modern Madness - TBA (Adeptus Astartes): VOW - COMPLETION TheArtilleryman - An Outlandish Madness - TBA (Astra Millitarum): VOW - COMPLETION BobFossil - A Legacy of Madness - TBA (Adeptus Astartes): VOW - COMPLETION Brother Argent - A Modern Madness - TBA (T'au): VOW - COMPLETION Grotsmasha - An Outlandish Madness - Dark Angels (Adpetus Astartes): VOW - COMPLETION
