I've considered this as well. I'm leaning this way. I've done this in the past and I honestly feel the hassle of keeping up with the arms, changing them out, and them coming off in battle or moving at odd angles is more trouble than it's worth. Appreciate the suggestion, however.

Would our TDA still have the usual Crux Terminatus on the left shoulder? There are a few pads in the BT upgrade sprues that appear to be a stylized Crux Terminatus but I can't find any art that shows a good depiction of that shoulder. Nit picking, I know, but while I'm building these two boxes, I figure I could do it right instead of being annoyed with them being wrong in the future. Also, while I've got your attention, I've built one box with all TH/SS. I'm still assembling the second box. Should I build them all with lightning claws, a mix of them and TH/SS, or just go for the full out TH/SS ten man squad?

The Crusaders could also be rear objective baby sitters while Helbrecht and Grimaldus join the EC to beat face in the front lines with the terminators out of the LRC. Assault Intercessors are charging out of the Impulsors or rushing for objectives. Ven. Dreads are main AT for the army. The TH/SS terminators are for dealing with elite infantry and close in AT. This list feels very light on AT and higher toughness units, IMO. I love the Bladeguard models and they feel very BT-ish so I threw them in but I'm not sure what they're purpose is. Obviously they are anti-infantry but this list feels very heavy on that. Open to suggestions on them. Also, do I want to drop Grimaldus and replace him with a terminator chaplain that supports the assault terminators? Very open to suggestions for appropriate Litanies and Relic(s). Thanks!

Looking to get my Neophytes painted and really don't know what the best scheme is to have them done in. I assume black armor w/ white shoulders, but what about the fabric? Is it a tan or a gray or straight black? I can't seem to find any good art or armies that show this very well.

I'm considering having my jump pack-equipped Black Templar Assault Marines and Vanguard Vets painted up as Angry Marines. I'm not a tournament player so these would only ever really be used in friendly games to add some levity and a color pop to the army. Would you have any issue playing against such a unit? They'd be modeled with Angry Marine-specific weapons (nailed bats, power wrenches, maybe a power chair, etc) but would otherwise be standard Black Templar Assault Marines and Vanguard Vet datasheets and I'd let my opponent know what the weapon actually are.

I'm doing all my primaris as BoV. I'm just waiting on the decals to show up from Chapter Customizer. I plan on doing like others and using them with actual Dark Angel marines, since the the DA like to work with their successor chapters so much.

Thinking that all my Primaris marines will be painted up as Blades of Vengeance, but I'd prefer to use decals to make that happen. Since I can't find any on GW's website they're not making them. Does anyone have a good digital copy of the chapter symbol and/or know the best place to have them custom made?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! While waiting on suggestions I went ahead and purchased a Dark Vengeance tac squad, Ravenwing squad, and a Deathwing termie squad, so add those to the bunch. Seems like everyone so far agrees I'm light on anti-armor, so I'll pick up a dev squad for some LC and either a pred or razor back as well as the DW Knights. If anyone has any other suggestions, please keep them coming! Thanks again!

I played DA back in 3rd and 4th and tried to get back in with 7th but just couldn't. Had a couple of demos of 8th and I'm in both both feet. I've picked up a Marine start collecting box, a box of sniper scouts (for picking off buffing characters), and split the most recent starter so I have all the Primaris stuff as well. What would you all recommend as my next purchase or three? I'm seriously leaning toward some DW Knights and RW knights but could also see me fleshing out a green wing force with the tac squad/rhino box or two. Obviously I would love a full DW force, but these rules seem to encourage combined arms so running all three wings at once seems like a good idea. Am I wrong in that assumption? Thanks!
