My first encounter with the hobby was in the mid 90s when I was 12 years old. I never really played a game until after college. From painting to War Games on Tabletops, I really love all aspects of the hobby.

I know right? We've got some really great themed games too! All of the missions really scream bring more nukes, radphage, and phosphex. -

Shameless plug here! Do you have what it takes to be “Moritat Prime” during The Destruction of Kairos Prime NarrativeEvent? In addition to our regular custom trophies, we will have this extra special bad boy. The rules to win him are a close held secret, but it will involve committing heinous war crimes during the event. We hope to see you all there! -

The Fate of Kairos Prime ended in a tie, we are now on to its Devastation! Just went live with the Devastation of Kairos Prime part of the Dismal Gulf system! I had a great 2 day event with over 20 participants! Now we are scheduled for the next quarterly event to be held in January! It's been an awesome experience transitioning into an EO and building a community for Horus Heresy! My active status here has decreased a lot lately, but I've been super busy creating content, doing interviews on podcasts, and networking with other National EOs to try and build something truly special for Heresy enthusiasts! Most of the pictures are too large to submit through the media add files button. But man the armies looked great! -
Okay Guys, it's time! BAMA Heresy Presents on JANUARY 11-12, 2025 THE DEVASTATION OF KAIROS PRIME! This is going to be a packed event! Our goal is 40 players! Where is it? High Ground Hobbies and Cafe13381 Hatchett Rd W, Madison, AL 35757 I created BAMA Heresy as a Horus Heresy gaming club with my friend Chris about 8-9 months ago. It is now one of the fastest growing Heresy communities in the Southeastern part of the United States. This will be a hybrid 2-day event which means you have the option for a single day or both day entries! I've built this story over the last year, and the Fate of Kairos Prime ended in true Alpha Legion fashion as a tie! So, what do we do when all else fails? We send in the destroyers as a last resort! We are getting people from across the entire Southeastern portions of the US! This next event will have people from at least 9 different states represented! Attendees hail from Kentucky, Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and here in Alabama. We are doing something no one else in the south east is doing. You've got 3 months to get paint on those models, get some learning games in, and be apart of History, as we push to be one of the Best Heresy clubs in America! For all of the 1st edition players, we have taken into account how Phosphex played out in 1.0 and we understand that all 3 of our Event Exclusive Rites of War can be powerful. We ask that you Remember this isn't a tournament, and phosphex has been softened in 2nd edition. For this event we will have a Best Painted army and a Best Painted Character/Unit options ontop of our normal custom trophies that we make for you guys. The trophies are all designed and professionally painted by Stiff Neck Studios team members and look fantastic! The best part? The store hosting us doubles an Airbnb that's super affordable, and comfortably sleeps 4-6 people, with room for more! It also has a restaurant for easy food access! Its also more than just a sandwich shop! We want you to take this opportunity to kitbash/include some extra lore into your armies. But most of all, we want to build the Horus Heresy Community! You have roughly 3 months to get this accomplished! I can't wait to see some of you guys there! There's the potential of 9 states or more being represented at this event from the south west to the east coast! If you aren't planning to go to LVO or Adepticon, this is going to be a solid 2 day adventure! If you are interested please reach out so that I can privately send you the player packet, and links ticket options so I do not break Forum rules! If you have any questions or concerns, you know you can always get in touch with me here! Or through DMs!

Here's a picture of some of our trophies for an Event my partner created. It's making the rounds, on other social media platforms. I'm very excited that my storyline has been so successful. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but this event has over 20 participants for Heresy. It's one of the largest non-con events in the South Eastern part of the United States. I've done my best to introduce some really cool in game mechanics & missions while not over complicating the game state. If you live in the South East, and want to make a quarterly event, we are only growing and getting better! -

The one hiccup is I don't remember the recipe for my bases... I normally write those things down, but for whatever reason I didn't with these guys. Looks like I'm going to have to wing it. -

This September 25th marks our BA today Forum as being long lived and flourishing. I've left 40k pretty much all together, but I occasionally still keep up with this forum. It's home. I havent painted any carmine blades in over a year, maybe 2 If I'm honest. I was holding out for the rest of the BA line. It was a disappointment. In any case I'm pledging at least 5 marines to be finished by the end of September, and will post them here and in the BA today forum. I encourage others to do the same. It's a small oath of Moment from years past, but I truly wish to celebrate our great achievement!

Doubtful. There's no iconic character left unless it's Seth I guess?

I was really looking forward to a big reveal, with the hope that the Sanguinor would be equal in size and statue to Guilleman. Making him the size of a regular marine and not in a dynamic pose such as Astorath took pretty much all of the sails out any desire to revisit my CBs. It's definitely a big time agreement to the gut punch feeling seeing these iconic miniatures get such a weak attempt at remaking them. They literally could have just made the captain helmet the option foe Sanguinary Guard and it wouldn't look like so much cow dung. Very disappointed in the team that thought we wanted more models like the inquisitor or stormcast... All thst being said, I'm stuck with 30k for now.

Adepticon was fun though exhausting. I'm just now recovering from it. -

The TL:DR is switch to the Recon RoW and make adjustments. Dropping the tactical squads all together in favor of recon squads with tech marines & cognis-sigums. Corvidae gives units a Precision shot. Athanaen gives you +1 to pinning/moral tests Pyrae gives you hammer of wrath (2). Raptora (+1) invulnerable save to a max of 4+ when 12" from enemy I would actually take Corvidae on your Osirons. The gravis melta cannons can snipe out characters and hqs with instant death. Tactical squads would actually benefit more from either Pyrae or raptora. Corvidae does nothing for them. Pavoni would be optimal, but I assume you are putting the apothecaries in those squads. Also speaking on the apothecaries I would take Achean force weapons over Artificer Armour on them. Personally I would drop the assault squad for a second recon squad. I'd also take techmarines with cognis-sigums for the recon snipers. In my experience: Assault marines just need to be an all or nothing type unit. Either run 2+ or none. They should also take pavoni or raptora over pyrae. Raptora Especially if you deepstrike them and with combat shields have 5++ invulnerable. I'd also drop the sekhmet and take a drop pod for your Leviathan, or a heavy weapons team. But if you want to keep them with the herald that's okay, it's just a poorer option compared to a heavy weapons team with Corvidae, and taking a second/third recon squad gives you 5 scoring units the same as what you already have. The difference is the recon squad can sit and snipe, while the shekmet and herald realistically aren't doing anything until turn 2/3. I'd invest in Seeker squads as well so you could infiltrate your land raiders and still keep them in a Recon RoW. Ultimately it's up to you: but the major changes come with the arcana suggestions.
