  1. Doesn't the talonmaster have a 2+ ws and bs naturally?
  2. Might of heroes is only on a single model not the whole unit unfortunately, but the rest is all sound
  3. All deathwing including terminator and knights can now only ever be wounded on a 4+ that seems a bit broken even to me, or am I reading it wrong as they have inner circle and are infantry.
  4. True but you start with 13 with Azrael as Warlord, you get 1 CP every turn in command phase so that's 18 CP and you should easily get 2-3 through out the game refunded. Hence 20+ Captian
  5. Ive had a few games incorporating units from the Indomitus boxset and gone 4 wins - 1 loss, which I'm very pleased with. Assault intercessors do work when boosted by Azrael, Asmodai and Gene Wrought Might. Especially T3 when in Assault Doc. One game they tanked assault from 30 blood letters only to murdinate them in return and then go on to ruin a bloodthirster day. Also with a battalion, azrael and his Warlord trait can easily get 20+ CP through out a game which is just insane. Captain
  6. I realise it wasn't in your initial picks but dark angels have a very good stratagem that work well primaris Weapons of the Dark ages - gives plasma plus one damage. Which when combined with hellblasters and plasceptors can have Brutal effects. And although he isn't strictly primaris Azrael gives all infantry models within 6" a +4 invul save along with rerolls. Azrael with 10man hellblasters squad(s) with a Lt and ancient is pretty brutal, put a squad of aggressors in front for protection and you got a pretty solid fire base. Probably won't win any tournaments but it's solid nonetheless.
  7. Couldn't you just make the ancient your warlord? Captain
  8. Deathwing assault could be quiet a useful staragem for clearing screening units as from the look of it its done when the models are set up from deepstrike. So deepstrike terminators plus belial if you want rerolls. Use staragem to fire remove the screening unit. Then you (hopefully) can set up your knights even closer to the enemies valuable units for the charge. Or did I hear it wrong? Seen a lot of people all ready moaning about the codex, while I don't fully disagree with what they are saying, I'm instead trying to find out fun little synigies we can try to use to get the most out of what we have been given. Captain
  9. If I remember correctly some of the relics where Shroud of heroes relic is - 1 to hit Mace of redemption replaces a power maul +3 str, - 3ap and d3 damage Eye of the unseen was - 2 leadership bubble Apparently shroud stacks with darkshroud for a - 2 to hit with aversion can make something - 3 mwahaha Captain
  10. But their slow moving with out a transport, that if they can go in a transport. So mid field ground holders then. Perhaps. That's what I'm looking to find out. Don't forget they can advance and still shoot at full ballistic skill so 7" to 12" move a turn. Or you can fit 5 of them in a repulsor. Captain
  11. I'm really looking forward to making a 6 man inceptor unit with plasma, it's pricey but the thought of dropping them with the +1dmg staragem on them for some overcharged fun brings out the dark angel in me :) Average is 24 shots str 8, - 3, 3 dmg Then drop a 7 man deathwing Knight squad in front of them with an ancient and belial for rerolls and attack buffs and for less than 1000 points you've got quite a threat in the enemies face. Probably not the most effective or efficient use of points but sometimes you've got to do just do what looks cool! And if them knights make turn one charge can do some serious damage. Captain
  12. I recently got a couple of new cases from a kickstarter for this exact purpose! still need to work through mangetising everything and still have one of the cases to build (they came flatpack) but impressed with them it so far. For reference that one case is holding 28 tacticals, 18 terminators and 13 bikes with problems with dynamic poses or banners and such. the shelves are moveable to fit the sizes you need and best of all as i got them as an early backer from the kickstarter each case cost me
  13. No units have been lost, just the codexs only contain units currently sold. You can still use ones from the index as answered by the FAQ, copied below There are a few options that are missing in the codex that appear in the index: why is that? Does that mean I can’t use these models in my army anymore? While the indexes are designed to cover a long history of miniatures, the codexes are designed to give you rules for the current Warhammer 40,000 range. There are a few options in the indexes for some Characters and vehicles that are no longer represented in the Citadel range – certain Dreadnought weapons that don’t come in the box, or some characters on bikes, for example. Don’t worry though, you can still use all of these in your games if you have these older models. In these instances, use the datasheet from the index, and the most recent points published for that model and its weapons (currently, also in the index). They still gain all the army wide-bonuses for things like Chapter Tactics and can use Space Marines Stratagems and the like, so such venerable heroes still fit right in with the rest of your army.
