  1. I hope on somehting very different. I hope its a new squad - but because a character is more likely I hope on something smaller then just something we already have. A new special type of Chaplain or even something smaller ( for example a relique bearer ) which is cheap and buff more types of units. My biggest hope would be a new type of Terminator character... if it is a named one or a new generic model does not matter... I want Terminators.
  2. wrong - they stated that Black TEmplars are involved. I think thats the reason why we will get our supplement on this date.... Its just not highlited as much because we will not receive a model range like Emperors children, Space wolves .... did or will have.

  4. btw.. you cant play regular Gladiators - you must play Black Templar Gladiators (another Datasheet) which are 10 points more but have a multimelta you can download the Black Tmeplar index for free.... the Supplement is not far away.

  7. WTC Rules that different (and WTC is official partner of GW) that units which are in this position to have an impossible charge - get 2" engangement range. that means most likly same amout of models can attack.
  8. never heard so much wrong things. Transports are must for squishy PSB. You need to hide the transport after ruins for "staging". They are still a great tool for any other things like Tankshocks in the charge, no escape strat target. And with a castellan and helbrecht you have lethal on 5s which is still the best thing against any vehicles.

  10. I dont think so. There are reasons why people love some chapters more then others. Some reasons are quit "questionable" but okay. Ultramarines are the main protagonists in the entire story - check Blood Angels are tragic vampires wit a great style of renaissance of north italy style... - check Dark Angels are Knights of the round table,..... Black Templars are Knights of the Crusade,..... Space Wolves are Vikings..... all tropes which are very beloved. Maybe Imperial fists, Mongolian hordes on bikes and so on are not as beloved to get their own model line. All first founding chapters can be happy because of the Horus Heresy Novels and Forge Worlds game system introduced. Former 40k has far less interest in most first founding chapters. Iron Hands did not received any special character before 8th. There are already enough Space Marine chapters out there imo. Death Watch had never be their own army - just a squad as ally but now its too late. But then (from a GWs POV) lets deal with the most beloved chapters.
  11. SORRY - thats hard to read because its SOOOO wrong. SW and BT are so divergent in their lore from a structure and from a philosophic way. In the rules they are not close what they are in universe when it comes to their difference to others. There is a clear lore perspecitve how an army is built and how they warfare. SW and BT do it very differently. But lets be honest. The special treatment by GW is because of style and because their fanbase. Of course Iron Hands are way more divergent then blood angels. We are still talking about THE GAME. The game has a problem. If you decide to change from 10th edition detachment system back to chapter specific rules - there is always the problem that people dont see their playstyle fitting. So the only problem is the balancing problem that even Black Templars are better in GTF (which is the most Ultramarine themed) then all divergent chapters. There should be a way to let the Codex compliant chapters shine without being far better then all other chapters in their own themed detachment and its not very easy. But imo - it should be possible to create characters which make special units Battleline OR work better. Even codex compliant chapters could have their own honor guard for example... or a White Scars a better Outrider squad as an example for a very tiny tiny divergence of the codex astartes and there would be a thing to help the rest of the compliant chapters to work in the game.
  12. Its not just sword brethren. Its all armies / units which can have access to critical hits on 5s and lethal hits. Sword Brethren can have it twice when you take (for example) Helbrecht (critical hits on 5s) + 5 Sowrd Brethren + Castellan (Lethal hits) 5 Sword Brethren + Castellan (lethal hits) with Sigismunds seal (critical hits on 5s). In adddition you have sustained hits for the whole army - and for the two squads sword brethren in addion to lethal hits (both on 5s) Because everything is already triggered you can put them inside of a transport (with fervant accl. Strat you have to stay outside of a transport).
  13. It was often a thing but never the only thing - In 3rd editon BT was the strongest Rhino-Rush army, in 5th edition Land Speeder Spam. And now Vehicles again... In 4th there was Black Tide, in 10th there was black tide.
  14. 3 squads of sternguard does sometime over 20 mortal wounds a turn. Against Vehicles with T11 the Bladeguard wound them on 4s (+1 S and +1 to wound). Captains on Sternguard and Assault Intercessors can reroll wound rolls on objectives/Oath-Target. Bladeguard makes opponents chargephase very dangerous because Heroic Intervention. Incursors does Mortal wounds.... I played with this list and it can deal a huge amount of damage
  15. At first - I hated everything about WP Detachment. But because I want to play everything I tried this detachment in 2 forms. One as intended by GW with Crusadersquads and I was as expected not impressed but as MSU concept I not just won all my games - I SMASHED them. So I thought about what I my worst Matchup --> Imperial Guard with lot of tanks and Blood Angels with tanks and strong fast melee... first was a great victory and secound was a tight game we could not finished. So at first --> no BT units sadly because I need +1 to wound for them. 2x Judiciar 2x Captains 1x Lietenant with Combi Weapon 1x5 Assault Intercessors 3x5 Intercessors 3x5 Jump Intercessors 3x5 Incursors 3x5 Sternguards 2x5 Scouts 2x6 Bladeguards
