HereticBOLTER’s Dudes/DIY Blog Dump

Alrighty, then. Let’s see how this thing works out. Don’t expect regular updates; I’m literally flying by the seat of my pants here. If nothing else, this will be a nice distraction for me until the demons get uppity again. 
 

Suppose I should start with an introduction of sorts. Howdy! I’m HereticBOLTER and I’m new to the forums (not the hobby itself, mind). I’d give y'all the full Monty (zodiac sign, birth stone, favorite color, etc), but I have a sneaky suspicion that you’re not really here for that. 
 

A few things before I really get into the weeds:

— I’ve never done anything like this before, so I’m itching to hear how I can improve. 
 

— I do not have the best painting skills. When I post photos, I’m well aware that my paints are thicker than an OnlyFans model’s bust and that my color choices will offend those with sensitive stomachs. I’m working on getting better, but be forewarned that you WILL see sins against God and man whenever I post test shots for paint schemes. 
 

— I have a 3D printer (a Bambu P1S) and mainly print my models. I’m well aware of the reputation 3D printing has in certain circles (particularly in 40k); this is simply a matter of convenience and logistics for me. As much as I want to buy and build official kits, I am not made of money. Plus, I can get more out of filament than I ever could get from an upgrade sprue. 
 

— The lore for My Dudes™️/my DIYs will not be tonally consistent with the lore for official Horus Heresy/40k stuff. This is 100% intentional. I will not budge on this.
