Armiger Talon Intermission

Lil big knights!  368698878_10161052381015797_2401397191367279107_n  As a bit of an intermission, our group is doing a throwback to our classic apocalypse games with a 30k, 30k game and after a weekend with a horde adjacent Anathema army i really wanted to run something Elite, and aint nothing more elite than Knights with Custodes allies! Both forces having barely seen table time all together, essentially being allies and addons to myriad other forces over the years (Especially the Red King!)

Khunara army complete!

So i got the army mostly finished in a haze of madness and some other coinciding deadlines and had a great event up at Firestorm games in Cardiff, which is a great venue to boot. I have immediately been dragged into more unrelated deadlines so ive not got the brains to do a full report, but heres the army laid out for some glamour shots ;)                  Ill hopefully do some more detailed looks at models in future, especially when so

Pre event hobby panic begins...

Heyo folks, just over a week to go until the Khunara event at Firestorm so im beginning to realise how much ive left to the last minute as is traditional :D  368377490_10161056098590797_3138072169892678941_n  Ive finished up a pair of Prosecutor squads with assault needlers, having done a lot of rifle arm conversions for Anathema now, im heartily sick of them! So in this case i cut down the flamer and added a 3d printed Escher needle gun front on, i figure the gun draws venom from the bottle

Refocusing on the things i want to run :D

So ive not been motivated to update this in a while, mostly because my Sons of Horus project wildly lost momentum and the accountability posts got absolutely no engagement i recall, and i sometimes crave validation :P  Anyhow, our group has stirred some motivation to do a Heresy campaign event in September and ive got a lot of faith in the folks running it (No pressure Pete :P )  so essentially im letting peer pressure carry me along ha :D  Campaign events are of course the traditional mot

311782126_10160328616435797_5619210022339024935_n Real quick one as im knackered but im really happy with how my Knight Errant Sister came out, the concept being that she is either the last member of an Orphaned Vigil or perhaps a particularly grizzled Knight or Solo operative, either way she works alone, is armed to the teeth and perfectly willing to use it all :D  That and i spotted the Vampire base mini had definite potential! It hasnt gone perfectly but my keen needed an outlet ;)

McFarlane Flayed one. Bigger, Longer, More cuts!

There wasnt a huge amount of material on painting them, especially the flayed one, at the time (Though its better now) and playing with the thing, posing it, rubber ducking it and generally pack bonding made me loathe to rip its arms and legs off to give the conventional action figure basecoating. Accountability

Accountability September

So September White Dwarf has been here a lil while which means accountability time was like... last week but hey ho, better late than never :P  Bingo 2022 September  The Sons of Horus have been covered off here already but i finished the Vindicare and his perch, as previously mentioned i wanted to go for a badly damaged but painted statue as a bit of a challenge and to stand out a bit. Though ive since seen a version with the statue fallen which is a much better idea! Happy with how he came

Recon squad finished up, bonus statuary.

Bingo 2022 august  Sooo the last couple of years ive been using the White dwarf hobby bingo, (Or now, technically a variant of it?) to keep account of all the things ive finished. Its been very useful as a spur to complete stuff over the long dark between events so i kept it up. First demi squad sorted

Terrain

Warehouse to let, one careless owner

First among blogs, first among traitors!

So first entry! I bounce around like a right hobby butterfly these days due to a lack of goals or budget and the current heatwaves have really impacted me painting (or moving much) after a crushingly keen start to the year ill likely cover in a future blog if i keep this up :D   So more on topic, im not sure how the images will display so i will talk generally...
