The Enemy does not sleep, nor shall we. - Chapter I part 5
"How dare you," screamed Deputy Governor Reeta Nirom at the robed man.
"Colonel, I suggest you stand down immediately," calmly said the Black Armored figure standing next to the robed man holding a Hot-Shot lasgun aimed at her.
There was 20 of the Black Armored figures in the room. All carrying Militarum Tempestus Scion style weapons. their eye glowed red, bone skull paint on their facemasks. No ranks, no ribbons, no markings at all. Their sudden appearance as they robed man berated the Governor Corvin Augulant and Deputy Governor/ Colonel Reeta Nirom shocked the Governor, Deputy Governor, and Senior Comms Operator Mord Van Der Flint. If Mord was not sitting he would probably have fainted, it was bad enough he dropped the glass of water on himself and looked like he had urinated on himself. Governor Augulant was still trying to figure out how these individuals got past the guards.
"Governor Augulant, Deputy Governor Nirom, please sit down," asked Lord Confessor Gallius Varnack said as he walked into the room. Lord Confessor Varnack, was in his cream colored robes under his brown fur cloak. He brushed his white hair back with his right hand, his left hand holding his silver rosarius.
"Gallius are these men with you," Reeta said with a scowl across her face.
"No, Deputy Governor, we are not with him. Lord Confessor is part of the Eccleisarchy. We are not. And as he said, Sit down," the robed man said as he pulled out a stylized I, a symbol of the Inquisition.
Gallius sat down, next to Mord. Governor Augulant and Deputy Governor Nirom then sat down and began looking at each other. None of them spoke. The only noise that could be heard was the slight hum coming from the armor of the Inquisitor's Stormtroopers. The Inquisitorial Stormtroopers weapons were at the low ready but ready to spring into action in moments notice. Reeta and Corvin had been in combat and seen conflicts first hand, Gallius has been on the front lines in his younger days as a preacher, where Mord had never experienced combat, yet all of them were afraid of the these highly trained elite soldiers.
"How dare I. That's what you asked, Deputy Governor. Was it about your corruption or the corruption of the 4-7 Stags. I presume it was about the Stags, As you and I both know since that deployment, they are different. You may not know what it is, but deep down inside, you know they are not right, Elite unit or not. I have rookie on my team that are more "Elite" than then the entire 4-7 Stags. Being next to you, I sense no corruption. So if you are offended that I am speaking what you are thinking, tough. If you are offended, that I called you corrupt, tough. I am responsible for the Imperium of Mankind. I make the hard decisions," responded the Inquisitor.
"I understand, Inquisitor. And you are correct. The Stags have been off," said Deputy Governor Nirom with her head bowed.
"The taint of Chaos, does that. It is why we are here. Hold on," Inquisitor said as he paused to listening into his vox.
"Yes, 10 minutes. Copy. Transport, heavy 5, plus teams. Any word on the Lady and the Father. Yes that is fine," stated the Inquisitor into his vox.
The door to the meeting room, swung open, and 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers closest to the door, swung their hot-shot lasguns that opened the door, and immediately dropped back to ready stance. In walked Adeptus Arbites Marshal Mat Dylon, arm in a sling, armor damaged, dented, helmet under his arm, shotgun slung on his back. Marshal Dylon walked to the table, set his helmet and shotgun on the table, and removed his jacket that was covering his armour all while one armed.
" Greetings Governor Augulant, Lord Confessor Varnack, and Van Der Flint. You must be Deputy Governor Nirom, pleasure to meet you. Lord Inquisitor," Marshall Dylon said.
" That is enough, "Marshal" Dylon," said the Inquisitor said with a sly smirk.
