How to save an half sliced Banshee

Hi Folks,

As part of the various tasks listed on my To Do List, one entry was associated to the rescue of an old miniature I have for years. A Banshee exarch model that I bought when GW made the trasition from lead models to White MetalTM. Youngsters among us probably won't understand what it is about. But to make it short: it is a good synonym for a long long time ago!!!

This model was initially bought in order to recover the power axe and model it as a hand weapon for my Wild Riders Clan Chieftain. You can see him there: P1100700.JPG - Miscellaneous - The Bolter and Chainsword

But what can I do with the rest of the model? Two options were on the table:

In any case, it will be an Autarch. But what type? I jumped to the Wayleaper kind.

After giving it a round or two about thinking on how doing it better, I went for the second option. The character will go Scorp chainsword, Banshee mask and Fusion gun. Plus teleport jumper à la Warpspiders...

I did my market with spare chain sword from Storm guardians and generator from Corsairs. The fusion gun was trickiest. I have decided to rebuild it from various Guardians spare parts, inc. un fusion gun (so obvious it is boring...) and one of the side arms holding a catapult on the hips. I cut, glued and filled with milliput to reach a not too dumb looking weapon. And then I realized the spare fusion pistol form the Corsair could have done the job too... Too late, the stuff is already glued in place.

End result? Here it is:

It is a new character for my Saim-Hann force. One tagged "sustainable Dev" and low resids... as it is done only from spares and wastes...

I just hop it will bring devastation on the table top and turn my ennemies into smoking wastes too... Call it wheel of destiny or something close.

See you when I will paint this guy/gal, probably during CtA25!
