[Intro] A world spotted, a force dispatched

The Program/Gestalt-Lord saw.

Cryptek-class units bent space and sent probes. Seeking clarity. Seeking knowledge.

A outlying planet. War-wracked, hurting. Armies clashed and swirled. Many forces trying to claim something... there. A massive, twisting structure of metal, Aeldari wraithbone, human flesh, and the noctilith blackstone. A gate into the chaotic realm of the Warp.

The Program/Gestalt-Lord/C'tan felt.

Disgust/bitter fervor/anger

Whispers of emotion from the shards of the Star Gods embedded in its structure.

Find the nearest Dolmen Gate. Activate a vanguard formation- units Setokh and X'ull. The Veiled Oblivion, as the other races called them. Setokh, former il-Phaeron and warlord, commanding elite warriors such as the Lychguard and Praetorians. X'ull the Tormented, Destroyer-Lord and insane until Severed from his madness; he and his brethren now bare their blades in the service of the Gestalt-Lord.

The Program planned.

The vanguard walked, misty streamers clinging as they moved from Dolmen Gate to Dolmen Gate. More forces were slowly raised, metal forms assembling and marching forth. A representative of the Gestalt-Lord's will was sent- the C'tan known as Nuun'kasi the Desolate. Tendrils of programing weaved through the Desolate, as shards of crystal moved through the Program.

Aeldari it saw, calculated, decided. The Old Ones former children would be useful tools. They did not want the gate open for fear of Chaos. The Program wanted, needed the blackstone for itself. A temporary cease of hostilities towards the ancient foe. No communication, no overtures, but no gauss unmaking fragile Aeldari forms. The younger races would suffer for their hubris. Then, the older.

The Veiled Oblivion marched onto a new world. Following the orders of their Gestalt-Lord, the Sarkoni Emperor. The Master Program-C'tan fusion that will burn the galaxy of the taint of the flesh and the violation of the Warp. The Veiled Oblivion marched, and death walked beside them.

Hello all! I'm playing another Crusade campaign and will be doing some battle write-ups and lore posts to document it. We will be playing a variation of Pariah Nexus Crusade rules, adding in certain elements from Armageddon to slowly get the campaign members used to that set of rules for a future full Armageddon campaign. So if some things seem off, its because we are house-ruling them.

Anyway, I will be playing my Necrons, who are part of the Haunted Legions of Sarkon. If you don't know the Haunted Legions, they are basically what the Necrons were before they got retconned in 5th ed- silent, emotionless killers dedicated to wiping out everything. Due to being in the midst of vast radiation storms, the Sarkoni Necrons had all of their personalities wiped and the Master Program AI is now in charge completely, doing things that only it knows about. In my head-canon, the Master Program of Sarkon has merged with some of the C'tan shards that the empire had, slowly corrupting the AI and turning it into a gestalt being that is neither AI nor C'tan, but something worse for the galaxy, the Sarkoni Emperor and Gestalt-Lord of the Severed.

Currently we have seven players, split up into three teams-

Destabilizers - Necrons and Aeldari

Marauders - Tyranids and GSC

Defenders - Sisters of Battle, Ultramarines, and T'au

Aside from the Nids/GSC, the Alliances are kinda wonky but make sense as far as their overall motives go. The Destabilizers want to destroy/render the Warp Gate non-functional, either because they fear the Chaos that will come (Aeldari) or they want the gate's materials for themselves (Necrons). The Marauders are looking to destroy everything and render all into biomass, while the Defenders are simply trying to defend the system from attack and want to use the Warp Gate for research (T'au) or to convert to their own use (Imperium), whether or not that is a good idea.

Should be a good little campaign and I'm looking forward to using my Necrons in a less competitive setting, without named C'tan or the Silent King, and seeing how they do. Alright, that'll be it for now, thanks for looking!
