Figured I’d get started with a bit of IRL background before getting too into the weeds. That alright with you guys? Yeah? Good. 
 

I started this project primarily because I’ve always thought that 40k was…eh, let’s be charitable and call it “deeply worrying” when it comes to certain things.

I also started this project because I’m just…tired of it being gloomy. I’m tired of it being grim. I’m tired of it being full of despair, hate, anger, and dread. I want the sci-fi that I interact with to have something that resembles hope. I want to be inspired by the media I see; I want to escape from the doldrums and the darkness of the world if only for a moment. 
 

So I decided that, if GW wasn’t going to do that, if they weren’t going to address the largest, goose-stepping elephant in the room head on and call the beast by its name, if they weren’t going to inject some much needed hope into 40k…

Then I would. And I’m gonna. And I’m taking all of you along for the ride, like it or not, so please buckle up, keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, and please return your tray back to its upright position, because we are going on an adventure. If you want off this ride…too late; we’ve already pulled away from the station. 
 

Next post will properly introduce My Dudes™️ to all of you; I just wanted to give all of you context about why I’m doing this. Expect it to drop sometime over the weekend.
