Enemy list - 2 10-man purestrain squads (one with a Patriarch), 2 5-man Abominant squads (one with biologis dude, one with Abberant), 10-man Abominant squad with Abberant, Sanctus, 10-man flamer hybrid squad with Locus, Kellermorph

My list - Skorpekh Lord w/full squad, Overlord w/full Lychguard squad, Transcendent C'tan, 5-man Deathmark squad, 2x 5-man Triarch Praetorian squad, 2x Heavy Destroyers, 2x Triarch Stalkers

Round 1

Necrons turn 1 - Orange-dice marked areas are impassable (bridge area). With gaining the first turn and extra Scout moves from the Dimensional Catacombs Awakening system, Necrons were able to quickly push the front. There were some Unbound Adversaries that took on the bottom squad of genestealers, which then got hit with the Skorpekh. Top squad of genestealers was shot up by both Stalkers (Patriarch sniped by Deathmarks) and then finished off by Ma'ar in melee. Big 10-man squad of Abominants heroic'd into the Skorpekh. Lots of melee destruction, but only the top genestealer squad taken out (though they get respawned). Nuun'kasi the Desolate does the hellscape action and at the end of the turn teleports into the rear of the enemy lines.

GSC turn 1 - Mostly melee again (this will be the theme for the battle), with both 5-man Abominant squads charging in, one against Ma'ar up top, one against the Skorpekh/Iltep in the middle. Skorpekh squad is taken out, though X'ull lives and reaps more genestealers.

Round 2

Necrons turn 2 - More melee, this time with Nuun'kasi charging into the Abominant squad from behind and taking them out (which they then respawn due to GSC silliness). Genestealer squad on the bottom is finally killed off by X'ull. One Praetorian squad comes down in the Necron backfield to protect from possible deepstrike shenanigans.

GSC turn 2 - Abominant and Hybrid squads deepstrike into the Necron rear, but hybrids fail their charge. Abominants kill off a couple of Lychguard and Deathmarks, but do no real damage.

Round 3

Necrons turn 3 - Another Unbound Adversary squad shows up and charges Ma'ar, who is still in combat with the final original Abominant squad. Nuun'kasi, X'ull, and Iltep attack both the daemons and the Abominants fighting Ma'ar and manage to kill off the Abominants- no more enemy on the bridge/enemy deployment zone. Second Praetorian squad comes down in Necron deployment and charges the Abominant threat.

GSC turn 3 - Respawned genestealers come down in the back line, both they and the hybrids charge the Praetorians/Lychguard. Lychguard go ham on the hybrids, killing them off while the genestealers take out a Praetorian squad. The Abominant squad is whittled down to two models.

Round 4

Necrons turn 4 - Group to the left kills off the remaining daemons and moves to the objective if able. Slap-fight between Abominants and Deathmarks after a Praetorian kills off the second to last Abominant. No real change.

GSC turn 4 - More melee between Praetorians and Genestealers, and Abominant vs Deathmarks- neither side does a lot of damage (Necrons are able to heal up everything that the GSC manages to kill)

Round 5

Necrons/GSC turn 5 - Same as the last turn, no real damage done to either side.

Thoughts

Interesting mission, first time playing a full Armageddon mission. The Unbound Adversaries were a fun twist, though I think having them only happen on a 4+ for this mission made them less than a factor than they could have been. This game was against my gaming partner, so we had a good time even if I crushed him. I think the main problem he had was coming up against my Stalkers with their 4+ invuln- I made a lot of saves and his heavy-hitter squads just couldn't outpace my Necrons' regenerating Wounds to finish anything off. When he was able to hit hard, against my Skorpekh, he did pretty good, wiping them out without losing too much in the process. But the Abominant squads were just pricey and not enough to stop the Severed. Next week will be another Pariah mission, so should be fun. Thanks for looking.
