First four units table ready

The first four units in this project are table-ready: Ballistus Dreadnought, Terminator Squad, and two Assault Terminator Squads.

Because the chapter was created to fight alongside the Adeptus Mechanicus, there is some of their iconography. The marine interred in the Dreadnought was a Techmarine, so that iconography is added heavily to that model in particular.

This is all a learning experience for me. I've been painting for a long time, but I've never thought of myself as a 'good' painter. Hopefully I'll get better as I go. I kn9ow these units ALL need some attention to clean up mistakes and finish details I missed or ignored.

Looks great.

How did you find doing the transfers?  I am almost at the step I have to put some on, and I am hesitant.

I like them and the decals pop on the models. My only critique would be add a wash and highlight to basing or add some tufts to add variety to bases and help it not blend into the armor so much.

Thank you! Transfers have always been difficult for me. I printed many of these myself, and found that for the chapter symbol on the rounded bits, particularly the pauldrons, I had to let them sit with a bit of decal softener, then go back and contour the edges a bit more when they were almost completely dry. I also found that the edges stand out noticeably, so I'll have to be careful to cut them as close to the artwork as possible going forward.

Thanks Rorie, I'll try that and post the results. The sand bases do blend with the armor, but I do like the brightness of that Valejo Desert Sand. I'll experiment and see what I can do.
