My armies
Thought I would list out all the different forces in my vast collection with a rough idea of the points total of each based on the current lists I keep in Battlescribe, just to give you an idea.
+Dark Angels + - approx 4500pts
Dark Angels were my first love in the original Rogue Trader days with the then black painted RTB01 plastic beakie marines being my first unit (even if they were later repainted as Nightlords with the addition of a few spikes). This collection is not really a usable army for gaming purposes with a lot of heavily converted models and not many real units and some of these models form part of a diorama I did a while back. But I still like the style and Iconography of them and possess probably all the dark angel characters ever made. As part of this collection I have also included my contingent of the Fallen which are two squads of kitbashed Horus Heresy Dark Angels and 3 different versions of Cypher ( the 2 different official ones and kitbashed version. I did have a lot more rank and file models for this army, but I could not see when I was going to be able to get round to painting them all especially as they were never likely to see the battlefield, so they got e-bayed in an attempt to reduce my pile of shame.
+ Sons of Khan+ - approx 4500pts
My home brew firstborn marine chapter, the idea was for them to be a White Scars successor chapter and be highly mobile, and so includes a lot of bikes and speeders of various styles and ages as I liked the eclectic mix to be part of their style. This army is extensively kitbashed to get the style and feel I wanted for them and even includes a chapter master riding a jet pulled chariot. The army can easily be used in a game should I need to with a few counts as type units (quite few jetbikes etc), but has still quite a few units unpainted, but I will return to them one day hopefully. They would probably have already been completed, if only they hadn't gone and introduced Primaris marines......
+Night Blades+ - approx 7200pts
My custom, Raven Guard successor Primaris only chapter which is nearly fully painted and my current largest army and still growing, the picture below was taken a while ago and there is now quite a few more than shown.
+ Aeldari+ -approx 6800pts
Painted as mostly bare wraithbone with a bit of black and dark green this army has alternated between being used as Biel-tann, Ulthwé or a custom craftworld dependong on the need at the time.
+ Tau+ approx 5000pts
The army that got me back into the hobby and still rolled out regularly as i do love a shooty army. Painted in more of an urban camo scheme, and used as whatever sept best suits at the time.
+ Harlequins + approx 1300pts
Only ever used as an add on detachment to the main craftworld army, but contains models from rogue trader to the latest. 100% painted
+ Death Watch+ approx 2600pts
Another heavily converted and customised, originally started as an entry for Armies on Parade, so comes complete with a display board and actually won at my local GW in the best display board and best themed categories. Been expanded on a bit since then an still sees action occasionally usually alongside other imperial forces. 100% painted
+ Grey Knights+ approx 2000pts
Simliar to the Deathwatch usually used in a combined force. 100% painted
+ Imperial Knights+ approx 1500pts
My smallest army in terms of number of models , but still pack a punch usually supported on the battlefield by either deathwatch ot the grey knights. 100% painted
+ Death Guard + approx 3750pts
My latest army started when I subscribed to the Conquest partworks and currently my only undefeated side (although i've only used them twice.) 100% painted, but as yet unphotographed.
+ Chaos Space marines + appox 2000pts
I had still held on to a few CSM miniatures from before my hobby hiatus such as the kitbashed daemon prince below and never done much with them until recently when I gained quite a few from boxsets I bought and started painting them up, so they are now a usable army. Just painted them with blood red armour so can be used as world eaters, word bearers or red corsair. Currently painying a chaos legionnaires kill team.
In addition to the above armies I also have a few inquisitors and entourage as well as the full spectrum of assasins that I can add to my imperial forces as neccessary.
