I've seen mention of an online Academic conference. It might be nice to have a Bolter and Chainsword conference. We could have participants from the various different boards give a live discussion, possibly followed by a question and answer afterwards. It would be nice to see people here and talk to them, rather than go off text posts.  Obviously at this stage I should point out that this is my idea. I havent run it by anyone in charge of the site. It does not bear the Bolter and Chainsword impramateur and should not been seen as being endorsed by the site in anyway- FOR NOW.

I was thinking we could get some of the authors from the Black Library forums, some of the most prolific converters from the modelling sections talk us through and preform a conversion online, maybe have some tacticians talk us through their approach to a battle. There's some people that have a higher profile in various subforms and it would be cool to hear form them them. 

I'm sure there's many other suggestions that could be made for such a conference/ convention. Any such event would likely need to be planned for a long time. At the moment I'm only at the "Wouldn't it be nice stage" but I've helped plan conferences in my line of work. Any thoughts, comments queries?
