"Pain is an ally........"
"Pain is a friend. Pain is truth."-Sister Erynica N'botu, Order of the Valorous Heart
Well the weekend is over....and I did something I have been wanting to do, I was able to pickup a brush and do some painting for the first time in a long time.
Thursday, I decided to repaint my bases on my characters. using Valllejo Model Color and Citadel wash (Basalt grey, nuln oil wash, Drybrush of Light grey and Sky grey) and then the all important black base rim.
Also updated plasma glow on Canoness and Palatine with Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic Radiation Glow after putting down a white under coat using an old bottle of P3 White. Also added Army Painter Warpaints Effects Fresh Rust, Old Rust and Verdigris paints. And to finish the model out and connect them to my Grey Knights and Exorcists I added Secret Weapons Water effects (Out of Production ) and Sewer Wash once the water effect had dried. I did start on my rebasing my Hospitaller but stopped as she is not included in my 1000 pt list.
With the Characters done I need to tackle the bulk of my forces. So up next was the 5 completed Battle Sisters from Squad #1 (to be named later)
I did the first layer of VMC Basalt Grey to the bases. and will return once I get the other half of the squad to the basing stage.
I restarted working on the other half of the Battle Sister squad by covering the armor with Black Templar Contrast and touching up the inner robes and anything that will be white.
Originally I was using Andrea miniatures White paint set but the thickness, caused it to blow out the lid of the eyedroppers and waste a lot and is getting harder to get. Luckily the Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic Warm Grey & White Triad is a very close match. I have only completed 3 of the 6 layers of the triad. Faces were redone using Rose Skin Tone, Warm Skin Tone, and Deep Skin Tones Triads.
Still a long ways to go....
1000 pts, minus the 5 sisters from the Battle Sister squad on paint handles. Some models need the Vallejo Surface Primer Gloss Black, some need the Models need their Scale 75 Black Metal, followed by Vallejo Metal Dark Aluminum, Vallejo Model Air Steel, and Death Shroud Clear, and some are at the Black Templar contrast stage.
I plan to keep on painting but I think I will focus on painting in 250/ 500 point blocks to get back into the gaming aspect.
In other news......I did receive my Penitent Crusader Battleforce
Well scrolling the interwebs I found to more boxes for a great price and I could not pass up.
First off Imperial Agents: Combat Patrol
This gives me 30 of the 50 Arbites, I need for my Adeptus Arbites army, also gives me a 5th box of Inquisitorial Agents () , 2nd zealot (Future Redemptionist) and a 2nd Eversor Assassin
And well this I should have gotten this a long time ago and one of the few kits I never got for Sisters.....
